Position: Inventory Clerk
Shift: First Shift
Schedule: Wednesday- Saturday 5:00am-3:30pm
Pay: $20.75
Overview
A Warehouse Inventory Clerk is responsible for identifying, investigating, and resolving discrepancies within WMS. This role ensures inventory accuracy, supports operational efficiency, and helps maintain any problem resolution requests.
Key Responsibilities
- Verify inventory accuracy by comparing physical counts to WMS records.
- Update inventory in WMS with quantities, item details, and attributes.
- Prepare and process inventory-related documentations including adjustments.
- Investigate and resolve discrepancies identified by operation.
- Maintain accurate documentation and following inventory control policies.
- Inspecting product condition: Ensure items are undamaged and properly labeled before consolidation.
- Operating warehouse equipment: Safely use pallet jacks, forklifts, reach trucks, or order pickers as required.
- Communicating with supervisors and teams: Report discrepancies, damaged goods, or space constraints.
- Following safety and compliance standards: Maintain clean, hazard?free work areas and follow OSHA guidelines.
Required Skills and Responsibilities
- Experience with warehouse operations: Prior work in inventory, picking, stocking, or logistics.
- Basic computer proficiency: Ability to use scanners, tablets, or WMS software.
- Attention to detail: Accuracy in counting, labeling, and recording data.
- Physical capability: Ability to lift, move, and stack materials as needed.
Role Purpose:
Responsible for maintaining inventory accuracy by verifying all inbound and outbound orders. Insure that inventory entries and adjustments are reflected accurately in the warehouse management system.
Key Accountabilities:
- Maintain inventory records.
- Perform daily inventory management procedures and duties.
- Coordinate physical inventory procedures and adjust system as necessary.
- Follow procedures to accurately adjust inventory for over/short, defective, and damaged product.
- Perform routine clerical assignments including filing invoices and maintaining records.
Required Education and Experience:
- High School Diploma or Equivalent
- Six months warehousing and inventory experience, preferred
- Forklift operator certificate or satisfactory completion of a forklift-training program within the first 30 days of employment, preferred
