Job Overview:
The Cancer Center Supervisor is responsible for overseeing the daily administrative and operational workflow of the Infusion Annex and supporting the overall efficiency of Cancer Center operations. This role supervises patient access and coordination functions including infusion scheduling, registration, authorizations, intake documentation, and weekend infusion operations to ensure a seamless patient experience and continuity of care.

The Supervisor works collaboratively with nursing, pharmacy, providers, and administrative teams to support patient flow, room utilization, and timely treatment coordination while maintaining compliance with organizational, clinical, and regulatory standards. Responsibilities include monitoring operational volumes, addressing workflow concerns, supporting quality improvement initiatives, troubleshooting operational issues, and serving as a resource for staff and patients.

Additionally, the role assists with maintaining departmental processes related to documentation management, patient support services, and operational reporting while functioning as a key liaison between clinical and administrative teams within the Cancer Center.

Qualifications:
Required:

• High School Diploma
• Five (5) years experience in the healthcare industry
• Knowledge of computer programs including Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint, Word and Mosaiq
• Successful completion of all orientation and training programs
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills necessary

Preferred:

• College Degree
• Oncology Experience

Essential Functions:

• Supervises the administrative workflow and day-to-day operations of the Infusion Annex
• Coordinates registration, authorization and scheduling of Infusion and weekend infusion patients
• Ensures weekend orders are delivered to Weekend Infusion location and Main pharmacy on Fridays
• Responsible for obtaining and scanning including but not limited to, Infusion intake forms, orders, medication reconciliation forms and consents into EMR
• Monitors waiting room and works closely with RN staff in providing patients with room assignments and rooming status
• Oversees patient nourishment station and maintains refrigeration historical log for area
• Responsible for inputting and reporting workplace-troubleshooting tickets
• Monitors and reports Infusion scheduling volume
• Functions as back up to Cancer Center and Infusion registration desk as needed
• Assumes responsibility for recognizing safety, scheduling or patients concerns that require referral to Manager or Clinical Director
• Participates in department quality improvements
• Performs additional tasks as requested by Manager or his/her designee
