CMM Quality Inspector – Aerospace Manufacturing in Meriden, Connecticut at DRT Holdings, LLC

We are hiring a skilled CMM Quality Inspector for our aerospace manufacturing facility in Winsted. In this role, you’ll inspect precision-machined aerospace components using advanced CMM technology and precision measuring equipment to ensure compliance with strict engineering and customer standards.

2nd Shift: 3:00 PM – 11:00 PM

Location: Winsted

Pay: Competitive Compensation + 15% Shift Differential

CMM Quality Inspector Responsibilities

• Perform in-process and final inspections on aerospace machined components
• Operate and/or program CMM equipment including PC-DMIS, Calypso, or similar software
• Read and interpret blueprints, engineering drawings, and GD&T callouts
• Use precision measuring tools including micrometers, calipers, gauges, comparators, and height stands
• Document inspection results and maintain quality records
• Identify non-conforming material and support root cause analysis activities
• Work closely with machining, manufacturing, and engineering teams to resolve quality concerns
• Ensure compliance with AS9100 standards and customer specifications

Qualifications (Required)

• 2+ years of experience in quality inspection, CMM inspection, or precision machining inspection
• Strong understanding of GD&T and blueprint reading
• Experience operating CMM equipment in a manufacturing environment
• Familiarity with precision measuring equipment
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality
• Ability to work independently and in a team environment

Qualifications (Preferred)

• Aerospace manufacturing or AS9100 experience
• CMM programming experience with PC-DMIS, Calypso, or equivalent software
• Experience inspecting tight-tolerance machined components
• CNC machining or machining support experience
