We are looking to add new talent to our growing team! We are currently seeking an experienced Project Manager, Graphic Designer to work in a leadership role with highly skilled professionals on diverse project teams in a dynamic environment. This is an excellent opportunity to join a growing group and company and get involved in a variety of projects for a diverse range of clients. This is a full-time remote position from our Vancouver, WA office.

In this role, the selected candidate will lead high-quality visual communications and graphic design efforts that support H&A’s brand, client engagement, proposals, presentations, and technical storytelling. The Project Manager, Graphic Designer will partner with marketing, communications, business development, technical teams, and senior leaders to translate complex ideas into compelling, accessible, and brand-aligned visual materials. This role requires a senior creative professional with strong design judgment, leadership capability, and the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced consulting environment.

DUTIES/RESPONSIBILITIES
In this position, you will:

  • Lead graphic design strategy and execution for proposals, presentations, reports, marketing collateral, digital assets, internal communications, and client-facing materials.
  • Develop compelling visual storytelling solutions that communicate complex technical, scientific, engineering, and environmental concepts to diverse audiences.
  • Partner with marketing, communications, business development, and technical teams to create high-quality design deliverables that support client development and project delivery.
  • Provide creative direction and brand guidance to ensure consistency, quality, and alignment with H&A standards across visual communications.
  • Manage multiple design assignments simultaneously, balancing priorities, schedules, stakeholder expectations, and quality requirements.
  • Mentor and provide guidance to designers, coordinators, and other contributors involved in producing visual materials.
  • Develop, maintain, and improve design templates, standards, graphics libraries, and workflow practices to increase efficiency and consistency.
  • Review and refine design deliverables for clarity, accuracy, accessibility, visual impact, and brand alignment.
  • Collaborate with senior leaders and project teams to support strategic pursuits, client presentations, conferences, and other high-visibility initiatives.
  • Ensure that all work is performed in accordance with company and client health and safety protocols.
  • Demonstrate the company’s foundational safety behaviors.

SKILLS/EXPERIENCE
Minimum Skills and Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Graphic Design, Visual Communications, Marketing, Communications, or related field.
  • 8 - 16+ years of related graphic design, creative services, visual communications, or brand design experience.
  • Demonstrated experience leading complex design initiatives and producing high-quality visual materials for professional services, consulting, technical, engineering, environmental, or related organizations.
  • Advanced proficiency with Adobe Creative Suite, including InDesign, Illustrator, Photoshop, and Acrobat.
  • Strong proficiency with Microsoft PowerPoint and other presentation design tools.
  • Strong visual storytelling, layout, typography, information design, and brand application skills.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with technical and non-technical stakeholders.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities, deadlines, and stakeholders while maintaining strong attention to detail and quality.
  • Experience providing creative direction, mentoring staff, and guiding contributors toward consistent, high-quality design outcomes.
  • Strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and ability to work independently in a remote environment.

Preferred Skills:

  • Experience in the architecture, engineering, environmental consulting, construction, or professional services industry.
  • Experience supporting proposal graphics, interview presentations, client presentations, and business development materials.
  • Experience developing and maintaining brand standards, templates, design systems, and reusable visual assets.
  • Familiarity with accessibility best practices for digital and presentation materials.
  • Experience with motion graphics, video editing, data visualization, or interactive/digital design tools.
  • Master’s degree in Graphic Design, Visual Communications, Marketing, Communications, or related field.

The salary range for this position in Vancouver, WA is $100,000 - $120,000 annually. Actual compensation will be based upon a variety of factors such as education, related work experience, certificates, skills, and current market conditions. Haley & Aldrich reviews salary ranges each quarter to assess competitiveness with the market. This role is eligible to participate in the company's performance-based bonus program. This bonus program is based on overall company performance and the results achieved compared to peers. This role is eligible to receive a sign-on bonus.
