- Build and oversee scalable sales and use tax processes, including registrations, compliance monitoring, exemption management, and automation initiatives.
- Lead external tax advisors, auditors, and consultants while determining which functions should remain internal versus outsourced.
- Partner cross-functionally with finance and accounting leadership on technical accounting matters, tax provisions, business combinations, and reporting requirements.
- Develop ASC 740 tax provision processes, public-company disclosure readiness, SOX-aligned controls, and audit support documentation.
- Utilize AI tools, automation, and scripting capabilities to improve tax research, workflow efficiency, reporting, and operational scalability.
- Hire, mentor, and grow the tax function as the organization expands globally.
- Active CPA, JD with Tax LLM, MST, or equivalent advanced tax qualification.
- 8+ years of progressive corporate tax experience with strong expertise in U.S. federal, multi-state, and international tax matters.
- Proven experience in transfer pricing, international structuring, GILTI/FDII, indirect tax, and SaaS or technology-related tax environments.
- Strong technical knowledge of ASC 740, equity compensation taxation, tax provisions, audit support, and IPO/S-1 preparation.
- Experience building or rebuilding tax functions, processes, disclosures, and operational frameworks from scratch.
- Ability to independently manage complex technical tax issues and communicate recommendations clearly to executive stakeholders.
- Experience managing external advisors, auditors, and cross-functional financial partnerships.
- Proficiency with automation, scripting, or data tools such as Python, SQL, or similar technologies for operational optimization.
- Strong AI fluency and comfort leveraging AI-powered tools in tax workflows and decision-making processes.
- Excellent communication, analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills combined with a high level of ownership and adaptability.
- Competitive compensation package with equity opportunities and long-term growth potential.
- Comprehensive medical, dental, and vision insurance coverage.

- Flexible remote work environment with adaptable scheduling.
- Unlimited paid time off and generous paid parental leave.
- Quarterly productivity stipend and home office setup allowance.
- 401(k) retirement plan with company matching contributions.
- Learning and development stipend along with conference participation opportunities.
- Access to AI enablement workshops, employee resource groups, and ongoing professional development initiatives.
- 12 paid U.S. company holidays annually.
