The General Manager is responsible for the overall performance of the collision center, including production, financial performance, employee development, customer satisfaction, quality control, and operational efficiency.
This role requires a hands-on leader who can effectively manage people, processes, and performance while maintaining Kaizen's commitment to safe, high-quality repairs.
The General Manager works closely with estimators, technicians, customer service representatives, parts personnel, insurance partners, vendors, and regional leadership to ensure the shop operates at a high level every day.
Key Responsibilities- Lead all daily collision center operations
- Recruit, train, coach, and develop team members
- Manage production flow and repair cycle times
- Drive customer satisfaction and retention
- Monitor repair quality and adherence to OEM procedures
- Maintain strong relationships with insurance partners and vendors
- Review financial performance and identify growth opportunities
- Manage staffing levels and workforce planning
- Ensure compliance with company policies and safety standards
- Foster a positive culture built around accountability, teamwork, and continuous improvement
- 2+ years of collision repair management experience
- Strong leadership and team-building skills
- Understanding of collision repair operations and workflow management
- Experience working with insurance companies and DRP relationships
- Strong communication and organizational skills
- Ability to analyze performance metrics and drive results
- Customer-focused mindset
- Valid driver's license
