Overall Responsibilities:

As a Server at Golden Age Hospitality, you are a key presence on the floor. Delivering refined, attentive service that reflects the energy and rhythm of our nightlife-driven experience. You are responsible for managing your section with confidence and care, anticipating guest needs, and creating a seamless, memorable dining journey from welcome to farewell. You are expected to have thorough knowledge of our food offerings, classic and house cocktails, and curated natural wine list, allowing you to guide guests with clarity, warmth, and authority. You serve not only as a point of contact, but as an ambassador of the Golden Age experience.


In this role, you work in close coordination with the kitchen and bar teams, stay alert to pacing and guest flow, communicate any specials or 86’d items accurately, and maintain a high standard of table maintenance, tone, and tempo. A guest-first mindset, strong interpersonal awareness, and professional composure are essential, as is a deep commitment to teamwork and hospitality excellence.


Physical Job Requirements
  • Standing for long periods of time.

  • Ability To Lift/Pull/Push up to 50 LBS.

  • Able to walk, stand, and/or bend continuously and for extended periods as required to perform essential job functions.

  • Able to work nights, weekends, holidays, and variable schedules, per the needs of the restaurant.

  • Knowledge of venue awareness and right of way.

  • Uphold all safety and sanitation protocols, including responsible alcohol service.

  • Maintaining a high energy service while monitoring guest behavior.

  • Handle guest concerns or complaints professionally and promptly.

  • Handling payments.

  • Review daily notes, specials, 86’d items, and any team updates

  • Ensure the tables are set appropriately and are wobble-free.

  • Check cleanliness of the dining/bar area.

  • Make sure side stations are full stocked for service.

  • Is responsible for any changes in the menu or beverage menu pertaining to the shift.

  • Notify the closing manager to begin the final walk-through.

service
  • Always greet and welcome guests promptly, in a warm and friendly manner.

  • Responsible for the entire experience of the table seating in their section or station.

  • Provide all verbal specials or menu changes.

  • Follow all allergy protocols.

  • Upsell specials, desserts, and featured beverages when appropriate.

  • Be available to run food any time you enter the kitchen.

  • Servers are responsible for pouring water, clearing, and resetting tables.

  • Be alert and responding to guests' requests and informing management of any complaints.

  • Prepare the table for the next course by clearing plates, wiping tables and resetting.

  • Ensure check accuracy before dropping for the guest.

  • Picking up the check while the guest is still sitting and has finished signing the bill.

  • Introduce new servers when leaving a section.

  • Maintain cleanliness of workstations.
