Associate Director/Senior Manager, Strategy & Operations (Therapeutics & Innovations)

This position is listed on behalf of a partner company, who manages all applications and next steps. Our partner is looking for a Senior Manager/Associate Director, Strategy & Operations (Therapeutics & Innovations) based in the United States.

This role sits at the intersection of AI-driven innovation, genomics, and therapeutic development, supporting high-impact initiatives that advance precision medicine. You will act as a strategic operator and execution partner across a fast-moving organization working on AI/ML platforms, biomarker discovery, and next-generation therapeutics. The position plays a critical role in driving alignment across R&D, Product, Medical Affairs, and Commercial teams, ensuring strategic priorities translate into actionable execution. You will help shape operating rhythms, improve cross-functional coordination, and bring structure to complex, ambiguous initiatives. Accountabilities:

Lead cross-functional strategy execution and operational alignment across therapeutic innovation initiatives, ensuring clarity, coordination, and delivery across multiple scientific and business workstreams.

  • Support end-to-end coordination of cross-functional programs spanning R&D, Product, Medical Affairs, and Commercial teams
  • Drive operating cadence by tracking priorities, deliverables, dependencies, and progress across strategic initiatives
  • Contribute to the development and execution of strategic plans, special projects, and leadership-driven initiatives
  • Monitor industry trends, competitive intelligence, and advancements in AI, genomics, and therapeutics to inform decision-making
  • Support partnership activities through coordination, materials preparation, and tracking of key milestones and actions
  • Assist in external engagement efforts including conferences, stakeholder meetings, and synthesis of insights for internal use
  • Provide structured problem-solving support for ambiguous, high-priority business challenges
  • Ensure strong communication flow across stakeholders, driving alignment and accountability across teams
Requirements:

Experienced strategy and operations professional with strong exposure to life sciences, healthcare, or technology environments, and the ability to operate across scientific and business domains.

  • 4–7+ years of experience in strategy, consulting, business operations, or business development within life sciences, biotech, healthcare, or tech
  • Experience supporting cross-functional initiatives, partnerships, or strategic programs in complex organizations
  • Strong understanding of therapeutic areas such as oncology, immunology, or related fields preferred
  • Familiarity with AI/ML applications in life sciences, drug discovery, or clinical development strongly preferred
  • Excellent analytical and structured problem-solving skills, with the ability to break down ambiguity into actionable plans
  • Strong project management and organizational skills, with ability to manage multiple priorities simultaneously
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management abilities across technical and non-technical audiences
  • Bachelor’s degree required; advanced degree (MBA, MS, PhD, or equivalent) strongly preferred
  • High attention to detail, intellectual curiosity, and comfort operating in fast-paced, evolving environments
