Description:

GENERAL FUNCTIONS:

Clinical Therapists serve as a member of the multi-disciplinary team responsible for providing trauma informed therapy services to clients who are dually diagnosed with mental illness and developmental disability.

Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions.

Essential Responsibilities, include but are not limited to:

  • Conduct Mental Health Assessments and Semi-annual treatment planning for assigned clients using the State approved IM/CANS tool ensuring the treatment plans incorporate objectives that reflect the identified needs of the individuals served.
  • Provide individual therapy, individual assessment and treatment planning to clients ages ranging from 18-65 years and older clients.
  • Clinicians provide therapy services to individuals: in the community, at EU day centers and via telehealth.
  • Provide information to outside agencies as requested to coordinate and assure the appropriateness of services.
  • In conjunction with the client’s treatment team, keep the family, guardian and other Envision Unlimited staff informed of the client’s progress.

Other duties as assigned.

Requirements:

QUALIFICATIONS:

Master’s degree in social work, counseling, psychology or related field. 1-3 years of experience in working within the social service arena, including internships. Must be able to work with diverse populations with multi-faceted needs. Experience with mental health and I/DD populations and knowledge of Medicaid standards preferred.

Must be at least 21 years of age, possess a valid driver's license or state ID, be approved to drive agency vehicles through agency insurance, pass a criminal background check. Must have excellent written and oral communication skills.
