About Albuquerque, New Mexico:
Albuquerque is truly a one-of-a-kind city: mountains to the east (including the longest aerial tram in the Americas), volcanoes to the west, and balloons in the sky. Albuquerque offers all of the amenities of a major metropolitan area, but enjoying nature - through hiking, biking, rafting, skiing, fishing, or hunting - is readily accessible and part of the culture. Unique New Mexican historical and cultural features include 19 indigenous pueblos, some of which have been inhabited for over 1,000 years, the Palace of the Governors in Santa Fe, dating to 1610, Los Alamos and the Trinity Site, where the first Atomic Bomb was detonated, the Albuquerque Symphony Orchestra, and, in Sante Fe, a world-renowned opera and numerous museums featuring modern southwestern art from the likes of Georgia O'Keefe. New Mexico deserves its moniker "The Land of Enchantment".
