As a Senior AI Infrastructure & Backend Engineer, you will be responsible for designing and delivering AI-enabled backend solutions while ensuring the reliability and scalability of production systems. You will contribute to architecture decisions, collaborate directly with clients, and help shape the evolution of AI services through strong engineering practices.
- Lead the end-to-end design and implementation of AI-powered financial services solutions, from architecture planning through production deployment.
- Build and maintain AI agents capable of monitoring processes, detecting failures or anomalies, and supporting automated remediation workflows with human approval steps.
- Develop reporting layers and visibility tools that improve transparency and operational decision-making.
- Create monitoring, alerting, and observability solutions for production systems and data operations.
- Design scalable backend services that integrate business requirements with security, compliance, data integrity, and auditability standards.
- Build and maintain data pipelines, orchestration workflows, and backend infrastructure supporting AI and LLM applications.
- Ensure production systems remain reliable, efficient, and cost-effective through continuous improvement.
- Partner with stakeholders to understand challenges, communicate technical solutions, and deliver outcomes aligned with business goals.
The ideal candidate brings strong backend engineering expertise, hands-on experience with AI technologies, and the ability to operate independently in a client-facing environment. You should be comfortable building production-grade systems, solving ambiguous problems, and collaborating with global teams.
- 6+ years of experience in backend software engineering, with strong expertise in Python development.
- Experience building AI agent systems, LLM-powered applications, or tool-use workflows, preferably with human-in-the-loop approval processes.
- Strong SQL skills and practical experience with data pipelines, job orchestration, or database-driven systems.
- Experience designing, deploying, and operating production systems with monitoring and observability practices.
- Ability to move quickly, work with autonomy, and deliver high-quality solutions in a lean engineering environment.
- Strong understanding of backend architecture, scalability, reliability, and operational excellence.
- Excellent communication skills with both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
- Fluent English communication skills at a native or near-native level.
- Experience in financial services or regulated industries is a plus.
