The Software Engineer will support the design, development, maintenance, and enhancement of enterprise software solutions while ensuring high standards throughout the software development lifecycle. The role requires strong technical execution, problem-solving abilities, and collaboration with cross-functional teams to deliver reliable systems.
- Plan, execute, and coordinate Agile software development activities focused on maintaining and improving enterprise archive systems.
- Apply established software development standards, processes, tools, and best practices throughout the full development lifecycle.
- Manage change requests, coordinate deployments across multiple environments, and ensure successful implementation of software updates.
- Develop, maintain, and troubleshoot software applications while ensuring quality, performance, and reliability.
- Analyze system requirements, resolve software issues, and improve application functionality based on user and business needs.
- Prepare technical documentation, operating instructions, and development records to support system sustainability.
- Collaborate with technical and non-technical stakeholders to understand requirements and deliver effective solutions.
- Support software integrations, APIs, data workflows, and application architecture improvements.
- Participate in team discussions, code reviews, and continuous improvement initiatives within an Agile environment.
The ideal candidate will have strong software engineering experience, knowledge of modern development practices, and the ability to work effectively in a collaborative technical environment. Candidates should demonstrate adaptability, communication skills, and a passion for solving complex engineering challenges.
- 4–6 years of professional experience in software engineering or a related technical field.
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Software Engineering, or a related IT discipline preferred.
- Ability to work with Linux environments and understand system-level operations.
- Proficiency in one or more modern programming languages such as Python, R, Scala, C++, Java, C#, or JavaScript.
- Experience developing front-end applications using React, Angular, or similar JavaScript frameworks.
- Strong understanding of RESTful architecture, API design principles, and data formats including JSON and XML.
- Experience with version control systems such as Git.
- Knowledge of data pipeline and streaming technologies such as Kafka, NiFi, Spark, or RabbitMQ.
- Familiarity with databases and data modeling concepts, including SQL and NoSQL systems.
- Understanding of containerization technologies such as Docker or Podman.
- Experience with cloud platforms and infrastructure tools such as AWS services, Terraform, Kubernetes, or related technologies is a plus.
- Knowledge of networking concepts including TCP/IP, SSH, remote workflows, and client/server architectures.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities with attention to detail.
- Excellent communication skills and ability to collaborate with diverse teams.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities, work independently, and contribute effectively in a fast-paced environment.
- Agile certifications such as Certified Scrum Master or cloud certifications are considered advantageous.
- Competitive salary range of $64,000 - $70,000 USD depending on experience, skills, certifications, education, and other role-related factors.
