POSITION SUMMARY

Fairlane Hotel is seeking an Overnight Houseperson to maintain the cleanliness, organization, and readiness of the hotel overnight, with a focus on preparing housekeeping carts, storage rooms, and supplies for the next day's operation.

This role performs the same core cleaning and guest-support duties as the daytime Houseperson, with added emphasis on overnight stocking and preparation.

RESPONSIBILITIES

Overnight Preparation:
- Stock and prepare housekeeping carts with linen, amenities, and supplies for the morning shift
- Organize and restock storage rooms and floor closets so Room Attendants can begin promptly
- Conduct inventory checks on linen, amenities, and cleaning supplies; flag shortages
- Complete overnight deep-cleaning projects (public areas, elevators, light fixtures)

Guest Room & Floor Support:
- Strip linen and trash from vacant rooms and prepare rooms for next-day servicing
- Deliver housekeeping items to guest rooms upon overnight request
- Respond promptly and discreetly to guest requests during overnight hours

Daily Operations & Safety:
- Receive assignments, keys, and radio from the overnight supervisor or Manager-on-Duty
- Report maintenance issues, safety hazards, and lost and found items immediately
- Maintain confidentiality and follow all safety and security protocols
- Communicate clearly with the morning Housekeeping team during shift handover

QUALIFICATIONS

Required:
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
- Comfortable working alone or with a small team during low-occupancy hours
- Ability to stand, walk, bend, and stoop for extended periods overnight; lift, carry, push, and pull up to 50 lbs

Preferred:
- Prior housekeeping experience
- Experience with overnight hotel operations or stocking/inventory routines

SCHEDULE

Overnight, on-property position. Must be available for weekends and holidays.
