Responsibilities

Maintains and repairs heating, cooling, ventilation, refrigeration, and related controls and accessories, pneumatic and electronic equipment, temperature controls, emergency electrical equipment, locks and hardware, electrical systems, tests and repairs fire safety equipment, sprinklers, alarm systems, patient equipment and all running repairs for daily operation of the hospital.

This position performs facilities maintenance, operations, and technical work. It does not include the practice of professional engineering as defined by state law. Engineering design, calculations, and approvals requiring licensure are performed by licensed Professional Engineers where required.

Qualifications

Education:

• High School diploma or equivalent.

Experience:

• Four years minimum experience at a journeyman level with comparable equipment and systems or completion of apprenticeship program.
• Knowledge of heating cooling and ventilation. Hospital experience a plus.
