Position Summary / Objectives
This role performs basic chemical synthesis, physical processing, and evaluation of laboratory processes under the supervision of a supervisor. Safety, accuracy, and adherence to established protocols are essential.


Essential Job Functions
  • Accurately performs and documents all experiments and results for assigned projects under supervision.

  • Interprets and reports test results with supervision and performs routine calculations required by experiments.

  • Performs basic mathematical calculations needed to adjust formulas.

  • Understands, follows, and prioritizes all safety protocols.

  • Identifies and communicates opportunities for safety improvements.

  • Completes procedures and documentation required by the Quality Management System.

  • Operates laboratory equipment and performs minor maintenance as needed.

  • Orders supplies and instrument parts; coordinates with manufacturers for repairs.

  • Assists in training others following SOPs and training guidelines, based on safety record, operational expertise, and equipment knowledge.

  • Plans and executes daily lab synthesis for pigment development, including managing reaction timing to ensure complete and accurate data collection.

  • Demonstrates a basic understanding of good laboratory practices and a willingness to learn and contribute to chemistry, data analysis, and safety initiatives.




  • Required Education and Experience

    Education / Training / Certificates / Licenses
  • High School Diploma/GED required
  • Some chemistry coursework with laboratory experience; college or associate-level education in chemistry, chemical engineering, or related fields preferred.

  • Basic computer skills.

  • Strong mathematical skills.



  • Experience
  • 2+ years of chemistry laboratory experience.

  • Experience using Excel and other Microsoft programs to write reports, collect data, and perform data analysis.



  • Preferred (Not Mandatory) Qualifications
  • College or associate-level education in chemistry or related fields.
