- Drive the advancement and optimization of tRNA therapeutic platforms, including elevation and suppression modalities, while translating emerging RNA science into clinically relevant applications.
- Oversee preclinical development activities, including in vitro and in vivo studies, biomarker strategies, delivery technologies, vector optimization, and IND-enabling programs.
- Collaborate cross-functionally with regulatory, manufacturing, clinical, business development, and IP teams to ensure scientific execution supports operational and corporate goals.
- Build and maintain relationships with academic collaborators, scientific advisors, investors, and industry experts while representing scientific progress at conferences and strategic meetings.
- Contribute to company growth through scientific leadership, fundraising support, publication strategy, partnership development, and the long-term development of a high-performing R&D organization.
- PhD or equivalent degree in Molecular Biology, Genetics, Neuroscience, or a related scientific discipline.
- 8+ years of experience in biotech or pharmaceutical environments, including leadership responsibilities within translational or preclinical research programs.
- Strong expertise in RNA biology, translational mechanisms, gene therapy, and AAV-based delivery systems.
- Proven experience advancing therapeutic programs toward IND-enabling studies, including toxicology, biodistribution, dose optimization, and biomarker development.
- Hands-on knowledge of vector engineering, delivery modalities, molecular assays, and preclinical disease models; NHP experience is considered a plus.
- Demonstrated ability to lead cross-functional initiatives in startup or high-growth environments with strong strategic and operational execution skills.
- Excellent communication, stakeholder management, and scientific presentation abilities, with experience engaging investors, collaborators, and advisory boards preferred.
- Entrepreneurial mindset with the ability to balance scientific rigor, innovation, and fast-paced decision-making.
- Opportunity to shape a pioneering therapeutic platform focused on transformative treatments for rare diseases.
- High-impact leadership role with clear progression toward executive scientific leadership responsibilities.
- Flexible remote working model with international scientific collaboration across Europe and beyond.
- Exposure to cutting-edge RNA therapeutics, gene therapy innovation, and translational medicine programs.
- Collaborative environment alongside experienced biotech entrepreneurs, researchers, and global scientific partners.
- Equity-based compensation package with long-term growth potential and participation in company development.
- Meaningful work focused on addressing significant unmet patient needs through breakthrough science.
