You will be responsible for leading engineering teams and driving the technical strategy behind fraud detection systems at scale.
- Lead multiple engineering teams, defining goals, priorities, and delivery expectations aligned with business strategy.
- Own the technical vision for fraud prevention systems, ensuring scalability, resilience, and security.
- Guide the development of fraud detection models, systems, and infrastructure supporting real-time decisioning.
- Drive hiring, mentoring, and career development of engineers and technical leaders.
- Establish engineering excellence practices including CI/CD, observability, testing, and code quality standards.
- Define and track KPIs and OKRs to measure engineering performance and business impact.
- Collaborate with Product, Design, Data, and Business teams to align roadmaps and priorities.
- Oversee architecture decisions, ensuring sound trade-offs between performance, scalability, and cost.
- Manage engineering capacity, budgets, and infrastructure investments.
- Foster a strong culture of collaboration, accountability, and continuous improvement across teams.
You bring strong engineering leadership experience combined with deep technical expertise in distributed systems and fraud or financial domains.
- Academic background in Computer Science, Engineering, or related technical fields.
- Proven experience leading engineering teams in product-driven or fintech environments.
- Strong backend development background (Java, Spring Boot, Kafka, PostgreSQL, AWS).
- Experience with scalable architectures, microservices, and distributed systems.
- Strong understanding of fraud prevention, payments, credit, or other financial domains.
- Hands-on knowledge of agile, DevOps, and continuous delivery practices.
- Experience defining KPIs, OKRs, and driving data-informed engineering decisions.
- Ability to manage multiple squads, priorities, and technical roadmaps simultaneously.
- Strong problem-solving, decision-making, and stakeholder management skills.
- Familiarity with AI-assisted engineering tools and practices is a plus.
- Experience hiring, coaching, and developing engineers and technical leaders.
- Strong communication skills, with ability to influence both technical and non-technical audiences.
- Ability to operate across strategic planning and hands-on technical discussions when needed.
