Job Description
Certified Nursing Assistant - Medical Oncology Ortho
Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA)
Join our collaborative care team. Under the direction of the Nurse Manager or Director, you will provide professional, skilled, age-specific nursing care for patients alongside physicians and other medical disciplines.
Key Responsibilities
- Direct Care: Perform patient-related tasks and daily ADLs under the general supervision of a Registered Nurse.
- Clinical Tasks: Check vital signs and assist with clinical procedures as requested.
- Communication: Observe patient conditions and report changes immediately to the supervising Nurse or Physician.
- Documentation: Record all patient interactions accurately in the medical record.
Hourly Pay Rate: $16.87 - $24.88
The night shift pay differential will be paid at 18% of the employee's base rate of pay. The weekend shift pay differential will be paid at 8% of the employee's base rate of pay.
Qualifications
Education:
- Prefer a high school diploma or GED.
Experience:
- Prefers at least one (1) year of relevant nursing assistant or healthcare-related experience.
Specialized Training:
- Must successfully complete approved Valleywise Health computer classes.
Certification/Licensure:
- Requires licensure through the AZ Board of Nursing as a Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA), Licensed Nursing Assistant (LNA), or Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN).
- Requires BLS card obtained through an approved American Heart Association (AHA) training center upon hire.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
- Bilingual is preferred.
- Must have the ability to work with culturally diverse people.
- Requires excellent communication, time management, and leadership skills.
- Requires the ability to read, write, and speak effectively in English.
