Working closely with editorial, product, engineering, and data science teams, you will ensure a seamless balance between algorithmic efficiency and human editorial judgment. Accountabilities:

This role is responsible for leading product merchandising strategy, team transformation, and performance optimization across digital commerce experiences while driving innovation through AI and data-driven workflows.

  • Lead, scale, and mentor a high-performing product merchandising organization, driving operational excellence and organizational transformation
  • Define and execute strategies to automate and streamline merchandising workflows using AI and advanced tooling
  • Collaborate with editorial leadership to preserve high-value human storytelling and ensure strong brand voice and editorial quality
  • Partner with product, engineering, and data science teams to optimize product selection, personalization, and promotional logic
  • Own key business metrics including revenue performance, conversion optimization, and product discovery effectiveness
  • Foster a culture of continuous improvement, coaching, and high-impact decision-making within merchandising teams
  • Drive cross-functional initiatives that enhance commerce experiences and improve internal tools and systems
Requirements:

The ideal candidate is an experienced digital commerce leader with deep expertise in merchandising, editorial strategy, and data-driven optimization, combined with strong leadership capabilities in fast-evolving environments.

  • 10+ years of experience in e-commerce, digital commerce, or related industries
  • At least 5+ years in senior leadership or director-level roles managing multi-disciplinary teams
  • Strong background combining product merchandising expertise with digital editorial content strategy
  • Proven ability to design and implement AI-driven automation and scalable digital workflows
  • Deep experience using commerce and performance data to inform executive-level decisions
  • Strong cross-functional leadership experience working with product, engineering, and data teams
  • Excellent strategic thinking, communication, and stakeholder management skills
  • Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Business, Communications, or related field (advanced degree preferred)
