Job Description
The Marketing Director leads KELTEC’s marketing function and is responsible for building and managing an integrated marketing organization that supports commercial growth across the business. This role provides leadership across Brand & Communications, Digital Marketing, Channel Marketing, and Product Management, ensuring that marketing strategy, planning, and execution are aligned to company priorities and revenue objectives.
The Marketing Director partners closely with Sales, Operations, Customer Service, and executive leadership to strengthen KELTEC’s market position, improve commercial effectiveness, and support growth across KELTEC’s distribution, end-user, and custom sales channels. This role is accountable for developing the team, establishing the annual marketing operating rhythm, and ensuring that marketing resources are deployed to drive measurable business results.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
Marketing Leadership & Strategy
- Lead KELTEC’s overall marketing strategy in alignment with commercial objectives and company growth priorities.
- Build, organize, and manage a functionally led marketing team across Brand & Communications, Digital Marketing, Channel Marketing, and Product Management.
- Establish clear ownership, roles, priorities, and performance expectations across the marketing organization.
- Partner with the Chief Commercial Officer and other business leaders to ensure marketing strategy supports channel growth, product strategy, customer engagement, and revenue performance.
- Help shape the long-term vision for KELTEC’s marketing capabilities, team structure, and commercial support model.
Team Management & Organizational Development
- Recruit, develop, and lead marketing talent to support KELTEC’s future-state organization.
- Build a high-performance culture focused on accountability, collaboration, growth, and execution.
- Provide coaching, direction, and support to managers and key contributors across the marketing team.
- Assess organizational needs and make recommendations regarding team structure, roles, skillsets, and resource allocation.
- Lead change management as marketing evolves into a more specialized, commercially aligned function.
Planning, Budgeting & Operating Rhythm
- Establish and manage the annual marketing planning process, including strategy development, budgeting, prioritization, and execution reviews.
- Lead development of the annual marketing budget and oversee allocation of spend across people, programs, technology, campaigns, and external resources.
- Align strategic planning, annual planning, and quarterly execution reviews into one coordinated operating rhythm for the marketing team.
- Ensure each function has clear deliverables, planning expectations, and review cadences.
- Present plans, priorities, progress updates, and recommendations to executive leadership.
Cross-Functional Commercial Support
- Partner closely with Sales leadership to align marketing efforts with commercial priorities and selling channel needs.
- Work with Product Management to support portfolio growth, commercialization, new product introduction, and pricing strategy.
- Collaborate with Customer Service, Digital, and other business functions to improve the customer experience and support commercial execution.
- Ensure alignment between brand strategy, digital platforms, product priorities, and channel programs.
- Serve as a key commercial leader in connecting marketing investment to business growth.
Performance, Analytics & Continuous Improvement
- Establish performance measures that link marketing activity to growth objectives and commercial outcomes.
- Review marketing performance, resource allocation, and organizational effectiveness on a regular basis.
- Identify opportunities to improve processes, team efficiency, campaign effectiveness, and cross-functional collaboration.
- Use data, market feedback, and business results to refine priorities and improve marketing impact.
- Drive a disciplined, results-oriented approach to marketing management.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in marketing, business, communications, or related field required.
- 10+ years of progressive B2B marketing leadership experience.
- Experience in industrial, manufacturing, distribution, or other technical product environments strongly preferred.
- Proven leadership across product marketing, channel marketing, and brand/communications functions.
- Experience managing teams, budgets, planning processes, and cross-functional initiatives.
- Strong understanding of commercial growth drivers, sales support, channel development, and portfolio strategy.
- Excellent communication, leadership, and organizational skills.
- Ability to operate both strategically and tactically in a growing organization.
