Position Summary

The Children’s House is a 3-Star Quality Rated child care facility associated with St. Joseph’s/Candler. The Children’s House offers programs ranging from infant care to Pre-Kindergarten. Our mission is to promote the healthy growth and development of children and to strengthen and support the families and community.
The focus of our program is to promote developmentally appropriate learning through respect, diversity, self-esteem and equality in order to prepare our learners for success. We accomplish this vision through cooperation among highly trained co-workers, our children’s families, and the community, in a safe, nurturing environment which provides individualized learning and developmentally appropriate practices.
We believe that young children learn best through creative, hands-on learning experiences in an environment that fosters curiosity. The Office Assistant provides support to the Director and Teachers helping the children learn to think independently, to problem solve and to use their words to communicate their feelings.

2 Years experience in an administrative, office, or clerical role - Required

1 Year of experience in a customer service, receptionist, or front desk support role - Required

2 Years experience working in a childcare, school, or early education setting - Preferred

Core Job Functions
-
Assist the Center Director with daily office and operational tasks to ensure the center runs smoothly. This includes handling routine administrative duties, supporting scheduling, and helping maintain organized daily operations.

Assist with communication between office, staff, and families. Help relay information clearly, professionally, while maintaining confidentiality.

Support the maintenance of center records, including enrollment documents, attendance logs, and other required paperwork.

Help ensure the center operations align with licensing regulations, Quality-Rated standards, and center policies by following procedures and supporting compliance efforts.

Provide general support wherever needed across the center, including assisting staff, helping with daily tasks, and adapting to changing priorities.
