This role focuses on developing and enhancing advanced predictive models and forecasting solutions that support claims demand and capacity planning within a complex operational environment. You will transform large and diverse datasets into actionable insights that improve decision-making, efficiency, and performance across the organization. The position requires strong technical expertise in data analysis, automation, and statistical modeling, with a focus on building scalable and reliable analytical workflows. You will work closely with stakeholders, product owners, and agile teams to translate business questions into data-driven solutions. In addition to model development, you will play a key role in improving data integrity, automating manual processes, and modernizing reporting and visualization systems. This is a highly analytical and collaborative role where your work directly impacts forecasting accuracy and operational effectiveness.
- Design, develop, and maintain medium to high complexity predictive and forecasting models for claims demand and capacity planning.
- Build and optimize Python-based workflows for data analysis, forecasting, automation, and reporting processes.
- Query, transform, and integrate large datasets using advanced SQL and Python to create high-quality modeling datasets.
- Perform data validation, reconciliation, and anomaly detection to ensure accuracy and consistency of analytical outputs.
- Automate manual and spreadsheet-based processes to improve efficiency and scalability of forecasting systems.
- Collaborate with stakeholders and agile teams to translate business requirements into scalable analytical solutions.
- Monitor, maintain, and enhance predictive models, including reruns, updates, and historical backfills.
- Develop forecasting insights and recommendations to support strategic and operational decision-making.
- Participate in cross-training and knowledge sharing to strengthen team capabilities and analytical consistency.
- 2+ years of hands-on experience in data analytics, reporting, or a related quantitative role.
- Advanced proficiency in Python (especially pandas) for data analysis, automation, and modeling.
- Strong SQL skills, including joins, aggregations, and window functions.
- Experience working with large, complex datasets and delivering reliable data outputs.
- Ability to build forecasting models or analytical tools for demand, capacity, or operational planning.
- Strong understanding of data structures, data flows, and data integration from multiple sources.
- Advanced proficiency in Excel, along with strong skills in PowerPoint and Word for reporting and communication.
- Excellent analytical thinking, problem-solving, and attention to detail.
- Strong communication and collaboration skills in a virtual, cross-functional team environment.
