We are looking for an experienced Node.js Developer to design, develop, and maintain scalable, high-performance backend applications. In this role, you will play a key part in building robust server-side solutions, developing efficient APIs, and implementing business-critical application logic. You will collaborate with cross-functional development teams to deliver reliable software solutions aligned with technical and business requirements. Working with modern JavaScript technologies and frameworks, you will contribute to backend architecture, database management, and application optimization. You will also take ownership of troubleshooting, debugging, code reviews, and continuous improvements across the development lifecycle. AccountabilitiesDesign, develop, and maintain scalable, reliable, and high-performance server-side applications using Node.js.
Build, implement, and maintain robust backend services and RESTful APIs to support business and application requirements.
Develop efficient application logic using JavaScript and modern backend frameworks, including Express.js and Nest.js.
Design and optimize API structures, ensuring performance, scalability, security, and maintainability.
Work with PostgreSQL databases to develop, manage, and optimize data storage, queries, and database interactions.
Collaborate with frontend developers, software engineers, architects, and other stakeholders to deliver integrated software solutions.
Translate technical and business requirements into effective backend architectures and development solutions.
Troubleshoot, debug, and resolve application issues to ensure system stability, reliability, and optimal performance.
Conduct code reviews, identify potential improvements, and maintain high standards of code quality and development practices.
Optimize existing applications, backend processes, and database operations to improve efficiency and scalability.
Participate in the software development lifecycle, from technical planning and implementation to testing, deployment, and maintenance.
Work with version control systems and CI/CD pipelines to support efficient development, integration, and deployment processes.
Contribute to continuous improvements in engineering workflows, coding standards, and software development methodologies.
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Software Engineering, or a related discipline.
At least 8 years of professional experience in Node.js development, backend engineering, or server-side application development.
Strong proficiency in JavaScript and extensive hands-on experience building backend applications using Node.js.
Solid experience with backend frameworks such as Express.js and Nest.js.
Practical experience designing, developing, and integrating RESTful APIs and backend services.
Hands-on experience working with PostgreSQL databases, including database design, querying, and performance optimization.
Good understanding of backend architecture, application scalability, performance optimization, and software engineering best practices.
Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines and automated development and deployment workflows.
Experience using version control systems and collaborative software development tools.
Strong debugging, troubleshooting, and analytical problem-solving abilities.
Experience conducting code reviews and maintaining clean, reusable, maintainable, and efficient code.
Ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams and communicate technical concepts clearly.
Strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and the ability to manage development tasks independently.
