This position is posted by Jobgether on behalf of a partner company. We are currently looking for a Retail Renewals Director in the United States.

This role sits at the intersection of retail media strategy, customer success, and commercial growth, focused on driving long-term value across a portfolio of grocery retail partnerships. You will own renewal strategy and execution while also identifying opportunities to expand investment and deepen platform adoption across key accounts. Acting as a trusted advisor to retail partners, you will translate performance data into clear strategic recommendations that align with promotional calendars, merchandising priorities, and business goals. The position requires a strong blend of analytical thinking, relationship management, and consultative selling within the retail media ecosystem. You will collaborate closely with cross-functional teams including sales, analytics, and product to ensure strong campaign performance and customer outcomes. This is a high-impact role where your ability to influence, retain, and grow strategic accounts directly drives revenue and long-term partnership success.

Accountabilities:
  • Own the end-to-end renewal lifecycle for retail media and Audience Optimizer (AO) solutions across a portfolio of grocery retail partners.
  • Develop and execute strategic account plans focused on retention, revenue growth, and increased platform adoption.
  • Act as a consultative partner to retailers, aligning campaign and media strategies with promotional calendars, merchandising cycles, and business objectives.
  • Lead campaign planning efforts, including audience targeting, budget allocation, channel mix, and performance optimization strategies.
  • Translate performance data and closed-loop measurement insights into actionable recommendations and compelling renewal narratives.
  • Identify opportunities for expansion, including increased investment, seasonal activations, and new use cases to drive incremental revenue.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with key retail stakeholders, including marketing, merchandising, and executive leadership teams.
  • Lead renewal and commercial discussions, including business case development and negotiation support.
  • Collaborate cross-functionally with account management, analytics, ad operations, and product teams to ensure seamless execution and continuous improvement.
  • Monitor account performance trends, proactively identify risks, and implement mitigation strategies to protect renewals and reduce churn.
  • Maintain accurate forecasting for renewals, expansion opportunities, and overall portfolio growth.
  • Serve as a subject matter expert on retail media strategy, grocery promotional dynamics, and Audience Optimizer capabilities.
Requirements:
  • 7+ years of experience in retail media, grocery retail, digital advertising, account management, or customer growth-focused roles.
  • Strong understanding of grocery retail operations, including promotional planning, merchandising cycles, and seasonal campaign dynamics.
  • Experience in consultative, agency-style, or client-facing roles managing long-term strategic relationships.
  • Deep knowledge of retail media ecosystems, including audience targeting, media planning, and performance measurement (onsite and offsite).
  • Proven ability to analyze campaign performance data and translate insights into actionable growth strategies.
  • Experience leading renewal, retention, and expansion conversations, including building business cases and influencing investment decisions.
  • Strong communication, storytelling, and presentation skills, with the ability to simplify complex data into clear narratives.
  • Ability to influence senior and executive stakeholders across multiple retail partners.
  • Experience managing complex, multi-stakeholder accounts in fast-paced, data-driven environments.
  • Proficiency with CRM and forecasting tools such as Salesforce.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, or a related field, or equivalent experience.
  • Must be authorized to work in the United States without visa sponsorship.
Benefits:
  • Competitive annual salary range of $150,000–$155,000, based on experience and qualifications.
  • Opportunity to work in a high-growth retail technology environment shaping the future of retail media.
  • Fully remote work model within the United States.
  • Exposure to innovative AI-driven retail marketing and audience optimization solutions.
  • Opportunity to work closely with leading grocery retailers and major consumer brands.
  • Collaborative, high-performance culture with experienced industry professionals.
  • Chance to directly impact revenue growth, customer retention, and strategic retail partnerships.
