Accountabilities:
  • Build and lead the Legal Operations function, creating scalable systems, processes, and operational strategies that support long-term organizational growth.
  • Partner closely with legal leadership to drive strategic planning, operational alignment, budgeting, and quarterly business planning initiatives.
  • Serve as the primary owner and administrator of legal technology platforms, including contract lifecycle management systems, workflow automation tools, and AI-enabled legal solutions.
  • Design and optimize legal intake, matter management, ticketing, triage, and self-service workflows to improve operational efficiency and service delivery.
  • Develop and maintain legal knowledge repositories, templates, playbooks, process documentation, and self-service legal resources.
  • Evaluate and implement new legal technologies, automation platforms, analytics tools, and workflow solutions that improve visibility, scalability, and operational effectiveness.
  • Define, track, and report on legal operations KPIs including throughput, cycle times, backlog management, service levels, and operational risk metrics.
  • Lead organizational change management initiatives related to new systems, processes, and workflow improvements, including communication, training, and adoption strategies.
  • Manage vendor relationships, legal technology providers, outside counsel, and alternative legal service providers while optimizing costs and operational performance.
  • Partner with Finance and leadership teams to oversee legal department budgets, forecasting, spend management, and financial operations.
  • Support strategic transactions, including virtual data room management and operational support for mergers, acquisitions, financings, and other corporate initiatives.
Requirements:
  • 8+ years of Legal Operations experience within high-growth technology, SaaS, professional services, or tech-enabled organizations.
  • Prior experience building or scaling legal operations functions and leading operational transformation initiatives.
  • Strong hands-on expertise implementing and optimizing contract lifecycle management platforms such as Ironclad or similar systems.
  • Experience with legal intake systems, matter management platforms, e-billing, outside counsel management, or legal analytics tools.
  • Familiarity with AI-enabled legal workflows, automation technologies, and modern legal operations practices.
  • Strong analytical and operational capabilities with experience developing KPIs, dashboards, reporting frameworks, and data-driven process improvements.
  • Proven success leading cross-functional initiatives and organizational change management efforts in fast-paced environments.
  • Excellent communication, executive presence, stakeholder management, and collaboration skills.
  • Ability to operate effectively in ambiguous, rapidly evolving environments with a continuous improvement mindset.
  • Strong process-building skills with experience creating scalable workflows, templates, playbooks, and operational documentation.
  • Experience partnering closely with Sales, Procurement, Finance, Security, Product, People Operations, and executive leadership teams.
  • Project management certifications such as PMP, PRINCE2, or similar are considered a plus.
  • Experience supporting distributed or global legal teams is preferred.
Benefits:
  • Competitive compensation package including base salary, equity, and comprehensive benefits.
  • Base salary range of $140,000 – $170,000 USD depending on experience, skills, and location.
  • Flexible remote-first work environment with optional office collaboration opportunities.
  • Comprehensive medical, dental, and vision coverage for employees and eligible family members.
  • Mental wellness support and life insurance coverage.
  • Fertility assistance and growing family support programs.
  • Flexible paid time off in addition to company-paid holidays.
  • Paid family leave, medical leave, and bereavement leave policies.
