Purpose/Description
Under guidance of the Department Manager 3/Finance, the Department Supervisor 1 will plan and supervise accounting functions relative to the receipt, maintenance and disbursements associated with court fines and fees; to include bond refunds, restitution, bond forfeitures, soil erosion, escrow funds, traffic and ordinance tickets, adoptions, and vital records, elections fines, fees, etc
Responsibilities
Required Tasks
- Establish and maintain relationships with individual or business customers.
- Provide assistance for inquiries received from customers.
- Prepare operational reports for management analysis.
- Provide technical assistance to the accounting staff.
- Distribute and review work assignments of staff as per Manager and Administrators instructions.
- Review existing policies/procedures and identify necessary changes.
- Assist with training staff and updating training documents.
- Maintain and update statistical information contained in spreadsheets, logs and databases.
- Review, analyze and respond to requests from outside entities.
Qualifications
QUALIFICATIONS
Experience/Educational Requirements
- A High School diploma or equivalent and three (3) years of Finance or administrative experience; OR
- A High School diploma or equivalent and one (1) year of supervisory experience and one year of Finance or administrative experience; OR
- An Associates degree and one (1) year Finance or administrative experience; OR
- A Bachelor’s degree in Finance or a related field.
