This position is listed on behalf of a partner company, who manages all applications and next steps. Our partner is looking for a Senior Director of Product based in Germany.
This role is a senior product leadership position responsible for defining and driving the vision, strategy, and execution of a global Employer of Record platform. You will own the end-to-end product experience across the entire employment lifecycle, ensuring seamless workflows that enable companies to hire, onboard, manage, and pay international talent at scale. The role sits at the intersection of product strategy, regulatory complexity, and operational execution, requiring a strong systems-thinking mindset. You will lead multiple Product Managers and partner closely with Engineering, Design, Legal, Compliance, Finance, and Go-To-Market teams. The environment is highly cross-functional, fast-evolving, and deeply mission-driven, with a strong emphasis on clarity, scalability, and measurable outcomes. This is a high-impact leadership role shaping both product direction and organizational execution standards across a global platform.
- Own the end-to-end product vision, strategy, and performance for the Employer of Record platform, ensuring alignment with company objectives and measurable customer outcomes.
- Lead and scale multiple Product Managers, setting high standards for product discovery, execution, and delivery quality.
- Translate strategic priorities into clear roadmaps, success metrics, and scalable execution plans across multiple product domains.
- Drive prioritization across competing initiatives including new features, regulatory requirements, technical debt, and platform improvements.
- Lead complex, cross-functional product initiatives requiring alignment across Engineering, Design, Legal, Compliance, Finance, and Operations.
- Partner with senior stakeholders to ensure the product supports broader business goals, including growth, efficiency, and margin improvement.
- Use data, insights, and customer feedback to inform decision-making and continuously improve product outcomes.
- Foster an AI-first, high-performance product culture focused on speed, scalability, and operational excellence.
- Represent the product domain at executive level, clearly communicating strategy, trade-offs, risks, and impact.
- Build and develop a high-performing, remote-first product organization and contribute to broader product best practices.
Requirements:
- 10+ years of experience in Product Management, including at least 5+ years in leadership roles managing Product Managers.
- Strong experience in HR tech, EoR, payroll, compliance, or complex B2B SaaS environments.
- Proven ability to define and communicate product vision and strategy tied to business and customer outcomes.
- Strong systems-thinking mindset with experience translating complex regulatory or operational requirements into scalable product solutions.
- Demonstrated success leading multi-team product organizations in high-growth or scale-up environments.
- Excellent leadership skills with a track record of hiring, coaching, and developing high-performing product talent.
- Strong product discovery and problem-framing skills, with the ability to turn ambiguity into structured execution plans.
- Highly data-driven with strong analytical skills and comfort making decisions based on metrics and insights.
- Experience driving AI-enabled or automation-focused product initiatives is strongly valued.
- Exceptional communication and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to influence at executive level.
