​Join the team at IRIS Qualicum Beach as a Receptionist/Optometric Assistant and be part of a growing practice dedicated to exceptional patient care.

We are looking for a friendly, organized, and detail-oriented individual to support our patients and optometry team in a welcoming, professional environment.

This part-time position offers 3–4 days per week, Monday to Friday, with opportunities to learn, grow, and make a meaningful impact on our patients’ experience.

Receptionist/Optometric assistant’s primary responsibilities are:

Answering phone calls, emails, taking correct information and answering all questions efficiently, collecting health informationGreet patients and a friendly courteous way and schedule or cancel optical examinations and appointments. Invoicing and/or insurance payments from patients.Pre-testing patients, prepping exam rooms, cleaning and setting up equipment, and showing patients how to care for contact lenses, perform tests such as OCT and VF. Answer a high volume of calls and maintain a high pace level of work Assisting the doctors when needed
