Job Description

SCOPE:

Lead and manage the execution of assigned equipment upgrade and retrofit. Coordinate the efforts of all departments and outside suppliers involved in fulfilling the order to ensure on-time delivery and customer satisfaction. Assist with inside sales activities. Assist in achieving department profit goals.

EDUCATION:

A Bachelor Degree (or higher) in Project Management, Business, or Engineering (or related field). Project Management Certification is a plus.

EXPERIENCE/

REQUIREMENTS: Four to five years of project management, electrical engineering, or sales experience in the metal stamping or capital equipment industry.

In-depth knowledge of industry applications and requirements involving capital equipment. Experience regarding presses, feed lines, tooling, die change equipment, electrical controls and conveying equipment is a plus. General knowledge of capital equipment rigging and installation requirements.

Ability to travel 20% of time.

General knowledge of planning, budget control, and pricing required for complete capital equipment upgrades, retrofits, and equipment relocations.

Good communication, negotiation, interpersonal, and presentation skills.

General knowledge of PC hardware and software skills used in preparing professional communications for customers. Must be familiar with Microsoft Word, Excel, and Project. Some understanding and use of AutoCAD is a plus.

Specific demonstrable knowledge of project management techniques.

Ability to read and comprehend mechanical and electrical drawings.

Good understanding and knowledge of general metalforming press design. Good understanding and knowledge of press control systems.

JOB FUNCTIONS:

Manage the internal execution of a Sales order from the time Aida receives a Purchase Order from the Customer; to the time Aida receives sign-off on the Order from the Customer. This includes, but is not limited to the following: 1. Review the Command Sheet and other order documentation issued by Sales Administration and ensure all open items and questions have been resolved 2. Act as the primary interface between the Customer and Aida with regard to clarifying technical issues, commercial issues, project schedules, installation schedules, and all other Order related issues and documentation 3. Coordinate, monitor, and control the Confirmation Drawing and Technical Specification approval process between the Customer and Aida 4. Assist in the generation of Command Sheets and Order Revisions as required for assigned projects. 5. Manage the integration of mechanical and electrical assemblies, auxiliary equipment; various press related options, and third party components. 6. Coordinate the application of non-standard commercial items (extended warranties, penalty clauses special payment terms and the like) with third party suppliers. 7. Provide periodic updates to the After Market Solutions Manager, National Sales Manager, Regional Sales Managers, and Distributors regarding the status of their Orders 8. Process and manage the implementation of Security Agreements when required for specific orders. 9. Initiate accounting procedures for invoicing at agreed commercial set points including final customer approval sign-off. 10. Travel to Customer Sites regarding new order kick-off meetings, progress review meetings, pre-installation meetings, installation progress review meetings, and other required on-site responsibilities. 11. Initiate and direct meetings with Department Managers to review project details, progress, schedule conflicts, customer requests and changes, liability issues, and other related issues. 12. Manage order configuration changes 13. Monitor and manage project costs. Identify risks to the successful completion of projects and develop and implement action plans accordingly. 14. Monitor the completion of all documentation and records pertaining to the customer and internally for AIDA.

15. Provide progress reports to Customers regarding the status of their orders by monitoring the assembly progress of the AIDA and third party equipment. 16. Coordinate the transportation issues with Logistics; installation issues with Installation Services and Service, and ensure Aida receives the Customer sign-off after the installation is complete. 17. Process incoming RFQs, costing worksheets and assist with development of quotations.

Performance Management of Direct Reports

· Maintain accurate job descriptions for all direct reports and review at least annually.

· Define and assess skills and set individual goals for all direct reports.

· Establish and execute training and development programs for all direct reports.

· Set performance metrics for all direct reports. Establish a process that tracks, measures and reports “on-time” performance of projects and assignments.

· Ensure that direct reports understand the definition of “good quality” as it relates to their work.

· Ensure that all direct reports know and abide by all AAC company policies and act in an ethical and professional manner, including the maintenance and protection of company assets.

Quality Management System (QMS)

· Perform daily work in compliance with AAC’s QMS and actively participate in AAC’s objective to continuously improve AAC’s QMS.

· Work in a constructive manner to ensure department outputs satisfy downstream customers and work with upstream suppliers to solve problems.

· Use the Corrective Action/Preventive Action (CAPA) system to identify and capture customer complaints, internal complaints, audit findings, and rework costs, as defined in the CAPA process flow and work instructions.

· Establish a system that provides regular feedback from downstream customers regarding the department’s performance.

· Reject poor quality from upstream suppliers.

· Provide regular feedback to upstream suppliers in order to minimize rejections.

Miscellaneous

· Understand and work to support achievement of corporate and departmental objectives.

· Know the AAC Corporate, Associate and Customer Vision and the AAC Quality Policy and conduct daily work in a manner that supports achievement of such.

· Work with supervisor to establish and meet individual training and development goals.

· Know and abide by all company policies.

· Act in an ethical and professional manner.
