Position Summary
Maintenance Technician II is responsible for conducting maintenance operations of Navigate properties, ensuring that the community is safe, functional, and well-maintained. This role requires strong technical expertise and the ability to complete and train in routine property maintenance tasks. The Maintenance Technician II will prioritize work orders, ensure compliance with regulatory standards, and maintain a high level of resident satisfaction.
Responsibilities
As a Maintenance Technician II, you will be responsible for a variety of duties, including but not limited to:
Perform and oversee preventive, corrective, and emergency maintenance for all building systems, including HVAC, electrical, plumbing, mechanical, and structural. Maintain common areas, grounds, and building exteriors to promote safety and curb appeal Ensure that the maintenance team complies with safety procedures, OSHA standards, and property policies. Ensure the property complies with local, state, and federal housing codes and safety regulations. Negotiate and coordinate with outside contractors and vendors for specialized services. Manage inventory of maintenance supplies, tools, and equipment; monitor budget for cost efficiency. Other duties as assignedRequirements

To qualify for this position, applicants must meet the requirements as described below.
High school graduate or GED equivalent Minimum 5-7 years of property maintenance experience Ability to lift or handle a variety of appliances and items including refrigerators, sinks, counter tops, fan motors, etc., ability to handle ranges and refrigerators using appliance hand trucks. Ability to operate a variety of power and hand tools used in carpentry, electrical, and plumbing trades. Ability to kneel, crawl, stoop, and crouch in order to work in tight or cramped spaces such as attics and crawlspaces; ability to work in these positions for extended periods of time. Universal HVAC Certification (EPA 608 Universal) required
