  • Position Summary
  • The office of Strategic Initiatives seeks a Marketing and outreach Assistant to support its efforts building workforce development and education opportunities in partnership with employer and member organizations in a wide range of industries.
  • This work is supported by Antioch University and the Coalition for the Common Good.The Strategic Partnerships Marketing & Outreach Assistant supports the team's communication and engagement efforts by preparing marketing assets, maintaining digital communications, and promoting partnership initiatives.
  • Working from established brand standards and templates, this student employee helps to create professional materials that communicate the impact of the Strategic Partnerships team and support outreach to organizations and prospective learners.
  • Essential Responsibilities:
    • Marketing Asset Production (approximately 4 hours)
    • Prepare branded marketing materials using approved templates for print and digital distribution.
    • Customize flyers, presentations, brochures, one-pagers, social media graphics, email graphics, and event materials.
    • Update existing marketing collateral with current information and branding.
    • Assist with organizing and maintaining the department's library of marketing templates and digital assets.
    • Ensure materials are accurate, visually consistent, and aligned with institutional brand standards.
    • Digital Communications & Outreach (approximately 4 hours)
    • Assist with preparing content for newsletters, email campaigns, and partner communications.
    • Draft and format website updates, event announcements, and promotional content.
    • Collaborate with CCG marketing team social media posts that highlight partnership initiatives, events, and success stories.
    • Support outreach efforts by preparing communication materials for prospective and existing partners.
    • Event Marketing Support (approximately 1 hour)
    • Create promotional materials for partnership events, workshops, networking opportunities, and campus visits.
    • Assist with event registration communications and post-event follow-up messaging.
    • Content & Brand Management (approximately 1 hour)
    • Organize digital files, images, logos, and communication resources.
    • Help maintain consistency across marketing materials and communication channels.
    • Proofread content for grammar, formatting, and accuracy before publication.
    • Assist in collecting stories, testimonials, and partnership highlights that showcase the impact of Strategic Partnerships.

Qualifications

  • Strong written communication and proofreading skills.
  • Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Ability to work independently while managing multiple deadlines.
    • Comfortable learning new software and digital platforms.
    • Creativity within established brand guidelines.
    • Professional communication skills when interacting with faculty, staff, students, and community partners.
  • Desired Skills (Not Required):
    • Experience using Canva, Adobe Express, Microsoft PowerPoint, or similar design tools.
    • Familiarity with social media platforms and content scheduling tools.
    • Experience creating presentations, flyers, or digital marketing materials.
    • Basic knowledge of photography or photo editing.
    • Interest in marketing, communications, storytelling, or nonprofit outreach.
