Position Purpose
The Director of Compliance is responsible for developing, implementing, and overseeing a practical, risk-based compliance program for a multistate dermatology practice operating in Florida and Illinois. The role provides independent compliance leadership, advises executive leadership and the governing body on compliance risk, oversees HIPAA privacy and security compliance, leads compliance training and communication, coordinates auditing and monitoring activities, supports investigations and corrective action, and promotes a culture of ethical and compliant conduct across all practice locations.
Role and Responsibilities
Qualifications and Education Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree required in Business, Healthcare Administration, Public Health, Legal Studies, or related field.
- 7+ years of experience in healthcare compliance
- CHC, CHPC, CHC-F, CPC, CPMA, RHIA, RHIT, or comparable certification
- Strong knowledge of HIPAA and healthcare billing regulations.
- Excellent communication, judgement, and problem-solving abilities.
- Proficient with EMR/EHR systems and Microsoft Office.
Additional Notes
- Occasional travel is required across practice locations for audits, training, and site support.
