Enviromental Services Technician in Shelton, Washington at Mason Health

EVS Tech: This 0.0 FTE/Per Diem/Relief position is scheduled to work 8-HR variable shifts as needed.

Compensation: Non-exempt, $20.52/HR — $30.00/HR. Placement within this range is based on years of applicable experience.

Job Summary:

Cleans patient care and non-patient care areas throughout the facility including patient rooms, laboratories, offices, restrooms, Emergency department., Surgery, Ambulatory, Anesthesia, PACU department, off-site clinic and office locations, dietary, and ancillary areas to maintain a sanitary, safe and attractive health care environment.

Job Specific Duties & Responsibilities:

1. Cleans and remakes beds. Distributes laundered articles and linens. Processes soiled linen.
2. Dust mops and damp mops resilient floors. Vacuums carpets. Performs interim floor care. Cleans and maintains floor care equipment.
3. Dusts furniture and equipment. Cleans metalwork. Washes walls, ceilings, and woodwork. Washes windows, door panels, and sills.
4. Empties wastebaskets. Transports regular and bio-hazardous waste to disposal area(s). Empties bio-hazardous containers. Collects confidential paper. Operates compactor.
5. Cleans elevators and stairwells.
6. Refills paper products, soap and hand sanitizer dispensers. Cleans/disinfects equipment. Cleans ovens, vent hoods and fans. Replaces cubicle curtains.
7. Properly mixes, uses and disposes of cleaning chemicals.
8. Adheres to any specialized cleaning requirements as needed, such as those in Surgery or for special projects.
9. Depending on assigned shift and operational needs, may be required to travel between Mason Health campus locations
10. Other duties as assigned.

Required Education and Experience:

1. High school diploma or general education degree (GED); or one to three years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
2. Required Licenses, Certifications and/or Registrations
3. Valid Washington State Drivers’ License and access to dependable transportation.
