We seek an Experienced Sales Commissions Analyst to support a high-visibility FP&A function for this remote work opportunity. This opportunity requires working independently to manage complex commission and bonus analysis while working with large, disparate data sets. The role requires strong judgment, diligence, and the confidence to communicate findings and recommendations to senior stakeholders. You will play a key part in ensuring compensation results are accurate, well-supported, and clearly presented to senior leadership
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Manage the full quarterly and annual process for commission and bonus calculations, ensuring timely and accurate completion from initial data review through final payout
- Own end-to-end QuotaPath administration, including commission plan configuration, logic design, and system optimization
- Own calculation, logic, and data feed architecture within QuotaPath, including the validation, audit, and reconciliation frameworks that support accuracy and control
- Assist in administration of company's annual short-term incentive process, working closely with Human Resources, Finance and Accounting
- Maintain and work through advanced Excel-based models used to calculate incentive compensation, including formula validation, reconciliations, and manual adjustments
- Analyze large volumes of compensation data to identify discrepancies, investigate root causes, and resolve exceptions at the individual employee level
- Partner closely with Sales and Finance leadership to review calculation outcomes, explain supporting logic, and address questions related to payouts or special cases
- Drive analytics, unit economic measures and other KPI’s to provide visibility on enterprise commission investments
- Ability to communicate complex compensation logic, exceptions, and payout outcomes clearly to Sales, Finance, and leadership stakeholders
- Prepare and present finalized compensation results, supporting schedules, and adjustment summaries to stakeholders for review and approval
- Analyze enterprise-wide commission structure and develop recommendations and proposals to enhance the structure of the plans
- Document assumptions, methodologies, and exception handling steps to strengthen consistency, auditability, and overall process reliability
- Align commission processes with commission expense policies and accounting requirements through partnership with accounting
- Demonstrated ability to work accurately with high-volume data while maintaining strong attention to detail
- Ability to investigate exceptions thoroughly and apply sound analytical judgment to compensation-related adjustments
- Support sales and sales ops ad-hoc requests for analysis around commissions
- Proven ability to work independently, adapt to ambiguity, and provide recommendations confidently
- Additional responsibilities may be assigned as needed to support team and organizational priorities
QUALIFICATION REQUIREMENTS:
- Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Business, or a related field (or equivalent experience)
- 6+ years of experience in Sales Compensation Administration, RevOps, Finance Operations, or a similar function
- Advanced Microsoft Excel skills, including complex formulas, large-data-set handling, reconciliations, and navigation of manually built financial models
- Proven hands-on experience building, administering, and maintaining compensation plans in QuotaPath
- Strong experience in compensation analysis, sales incentive compensation, short-term incentive compensation
- Experience with complex commission structures including curves, holdbacks, and accelerators.
- Strong attention to detail with a high degree of accuracy
- Willingness to learn complex commission structures and processes
- Advanced Excel skills and Salesforce fluency
- Ability to partner cross-functionally with senior leaders across Sales, Finance, Accounting, and SalesOps
- Effective problem-solving skills and analytical abilities
- Skilled at handling multiple tasks and meeting deadlines
- Oracle EPM/Enterprise Planning Experience
