Job Description

Position Summary

This position is responsible for assigned project activities of Hyundai Transys Georgia Powertrain (HTGP), Inc. including EO (Engineering Order), new model event stage, spec control, and A/S production control as well as customer demands.

Essential Functions

Corporate:

  • Manages the department budget efficiently as per approved annual budget
  • Performs additional assignments / duties as required by management

EHS:

  • Adheres to all safety policies and procedures
  • Complies with all safety policies and 5S clean philosophy to maintain a safe, clean working environment
  • Consistently meets company safety goals

Technical:

  • Follow up with customers to ensure the timely new model event stage and spec control
  • Manage implementation of new product launching from initial tryout to mass production
  • Review and evaluate new EO, communicating with relevant departments
  • Controlled on components' specification change process. Planning implementation method and EPI date to eliminate potential scrap cost during change over
  • Perform continuous improvement projects including capital investment and process change of system
  • BOM control to ensure production BOM is accurate, matching with ERP system
  • Coordinate a prompt, efficient, and timely flow of reporting activities to upper management
  • Manage and resolve troubleshooting related specification and project control
  • Implement supply chain management strategies & manage day to day related issues
  • Coordinate and monitor discontinue parts to prevent obsolescence or downtime
  • Prioritize and complete multiple tasks and follow through to achieve targets

Leadership:

  • Ensures Team Members perform to company policies and procedures
  • Treat all team members with respect and professional courtesy
  • Builds and maintains good working relationships with Team Members and management
  • Directs multiple Team Members and their respective zones
  • Helps all direct reports with motivating, mentoring, personal and professional growth and goal setting

  • Takes a leading role and report to upper management by analyzing raw data into information

Education

  • Bachelor’ degree is preferred
  • 3+ years’ experience in consultative project and spec control

* Equivalent work related experience (equivalency is figured generally as 2 years’ experience equaling 1 year of formal education) may be considered in addition to the “Position Requirement”.

  • Reports to: HOD of Production control & Materials or designee

Physical Demands and Work Environment

Physical demands also at times may include safely handling multiple, continuous parts flow in and out of manufacturing operations work areas which requires pushing and pulling of carts. Work environment is climate controlled in most areas.

Position Requirements and Qualifications

  • 3~5 years job related experience preferred
  • Three years’ supervisory experience (preferred)
  • Knowledge of preventative sales guidelines and programs
  • Knowledge of marketing process
  • Self-motivation and ability to work with little direction
  • Excellent oral communication and listening skills
  • Excellent interpersonal skills
  • Outstanding organizational skills
  • General computer skills including MS Word, Excel and Outlook.
  • A positive team attitude
