POSITION SUMMARY

The Sales Representative is responsible for generating new business, building relationships, and achieving sales targets. The Sales Representative will represent our Company’s products and services to prospective DoD customers while delivering exceptional customer service. This role requires an entrepreneurial individual with strong communication skills and a passion for sales. Prior military experience recommended but not required.

  • Identify and pursue new sales opportunities through prospecting, networking, and cold calling.
  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with existing and potential customers.
  • Conduct face-to-face meetings with customers to understand their needs and present appropriate solutions.
  • Deliver product presentations and demonstrations tailored to the customer's needs.
  • Negotiate contracts and close sales to meet or exceed established sales goals.
  • Prepare and present proposals and quotations to customers.
  • Collaborate with internal teams to ensure customer satisfaction and successful project implementation.
  • Maintain detailed records of sales activities, including customer interactions, opportunities, and sales pipeline management.
  • Provide regular sales reports and forecasts to management.
  • Stay up to date with industry trends, competitor activities, and product knowledge to effectively address customer needs.

  • Understanding of the federal government & DOD monetary, requirement, and contract system.
  • General understanding of the Federal Acquisition Regulations (FAR)
Requirements:

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE

  • Proven experience in outside sales or a related field, with a track record of meeting or exceeding sales targets.
  • Excellent communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work independently and manage time effectively.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to think strategically.
  • Self-motivated with a strong desire to succeed in a competitive sales environment.
  • Bachelor’s degree in business or related field.
  • Experience in Department of Defense sales.
  • Familiarity with the local market and established relationships with key decision-makers.

COMPUTER SKILLS

· Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (especially Excel)

· Experience with CRM system (e.g. SalesForce)

This job operates in a professional office environment. This role routinely uses standard office equipment.
