This position is listed on behalf of a partner company, who manages all applications and next steps. Our partner is looking for a Distribution Sales Manager – CAM/CAR based in Mexico.
This is a highly visible, field-oriented sales role responsible for accelerating distribution growth across Central America and the Caribbean.
You will develop new channel partnerships, expand existing accounts, and increase market presence across a dynamic solar market.
The role combines strategic territory planning with hands-on business development and relationship management.
You’ll work directly with distributors, EPCs, installers, developers, and other influential players to create demand and generate measurable growth.
Success will depend on your ability to open doors, build trusted relationships, and turn market opportunities into revenue.
You’ll operate independently across multiple countries while collaborating closely with internal sales, marketing, operations, and product teams.
With significant regional travel, this role is ideal for a commercially driven solar professional who enjoys building markets and winning new business.
- Develop and execute a distribution growth strategy across Central America and the Caribbean, with a focus on expanding market share and long-term channel development.
- Identify, prospect, recruit, and onboard new distribution partners throughout the region.
- Grow existing distribution accounts by strengthening relationships with owners, purchasing teams, sales leaders, and other key decision-makers.
- Generate pull-through demand by engaging EPCs, installers, developers, and other channel influencers.
- Build territory plans centered on new business acquisition, account expansion, and sustainable channel growth.
- Analyze market trends, competitive activity, and customer needs to identify commercial opportunities and provide actionable market intelligence.
- Maintain accurate sales forecasts, pipeline visibility, and territory plans to support effective business decisions.
- Represent the organization at industry events, trade shows, customer meetings, and other relevant regional forums.
- Collaborate with sales, operations, marketing, and product teams to support customer success and accelerate business growth.
- Travel extensively throughout Central America and the Caribbean, approximately 50–60% of the time.
- At least 3 years of experience in the solar industry, combined with a minimum of 3 years of B2B sales experience and a demonstrated record of new business development.
- Established relationships within the solar distribution ecosystem across Central America and/or the Caribbean.
- Proven experience working with solar distributors, channel partners, and other relevant industry stakeholders.
- Demonstrated ability to identify, develop, negotiate, and close new business opportunities.
- Professional fluency in both English and Spanish.
- Strong communication, presentation, negotiation, and relationship-building skills, with the confidence to engage senior decision-makers.
- Strong understanding of distribution sales models, territory development, channel strategies, and market expansion.
- Self-directed and proactive, with the ability to manage priorities and deliver results with limited supervision.
- Ability to collaborate effectively across functions, cultures, and multiple countries.
- Willingness and ability to travel approximately 50–60% throughout the region.
- Annual base salary of $35,000–$45,000 USD, excluding bonuses, incentives, and other applicable benefits.
- Full-time, remote position with the flexibility to work from Mexico, Panama, or Colombia.
