Position Function:

The Family Services Coordinator will assist with the coordination of Family Services development and evaluation activities and will assist with coordination of special projects’ programmatic and grant related matters. The coordinator will engage internal departments and partner organizations to manage activities and information needed for interoperability and outcomes.

Working Conditions:

Position may include potential exposure to parents, guardians, and conservators as well as to youth with behavioral problems, including possible physical aggression. Travel in service region/state is required. A personal insured vehicle is required for travel.

Exposure to Confidential Information:

The Family Services Coordinator may have access to confidential records including children, biological family, kinship family and foster care and adoption records. Must maintain confidentiality and follow policies related to personnel records and client records.

Key Expectations/Responsibilities:

  • Maintain high ethical standards which are outlined in the OCOK Child and Family Services Code of Ethics.
  • The Family Services Coordinator will provide assistance as tasked with network development activities including strategies, goal setting, tracking, provider engagement, onboarding, and services evaluation.
  • The Family Services Coordinator will provide assistance with project oversight, to include supporting operations, monitoring performance related to the projects, reporting, and planning for improvements where needed.
  • Ensure operations and activities adhere to all applicable policies, procedures, and guidelines regarding grants, and service delivery models.
  • Meet project goals, especially related to deliverables, performance measures, and processes.
  • Ensure the coordination of required documentation and services for any eligible participant who has been court ordered to receive services.
  • Ensure records are complete, accurate, and maintained in a manner which is easily attainable and protects the confidentiality of all clients being served.
  • Provide reports as prescribed by project contracts for each family enrolled in services.
  • Work with subcontracting agencies to ensure program models provided are implemented with fidelity to the models including the appropriate:
  • Service provisions and timeframes.
  • Program standards for frequency and intensity services.
  • Caseloads, when applicable.
  • Data tracking.
  • Reporting and record keeping.
  • Monitoring activities.
  • Evaluation processes and procedures including working with outside evaluators, if applicable; and
  • Staffing requirements and qualifications must meet any proposed evidence-based program model staffing requirements and qualifications.
  • Participate in coordination and collaboration between OCOK, Subcontractors, and project funders to support positive outcomes for families.
  • Attend court hearings to provide additional information regarding projects.
  • Ensure DFPS required background checks and DFPS required training are completed.

Requirements:

Education: Bachelor’s degree is required (could be human service or project management related).

Experience: Two years’ experience in either child welfare, social services, project management, healthcare administration or managed care.
