This role offers the opportunity to design, develop, and enhance complex software solutions that support critical healthcare technology platforms. - Design, develop, test, and maintain software modules for both existing products and new product development initiatives.
- Analyze requirements, create technical designs, implement solutions, and perform verification and validation activities according to established development practices.
- Develop and maintain software for cloud and on-premise environments, including deployment systems supporting applications running on Linux and Kubernetes.
- Investigate, troubleshoot, and resolve product defects while supporting customer escalations and complex technical issues.
- Participate in software architecture discussions, code reviews, design reviews, and engineering documentation activities.
- Create and maintain technical specifications, test plans, reports, and other documentation required throughout the software development lifecycle.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including technical, clinical, and customer-facing stakeholders, to understand requirements and improve solutions.
- Mentor team members, provide technical guidance, and contribute to knowledge sharing across the engineering organization.
- Identify opportunities to improve development processes, product quality, and customer experiences.
- Stay current with emerging technologies and continuously develop technical skills through learning, training, and industry engagement.
- 5+ years of professional experience in software development.
- Bachelor’s degree or college-level education in computer science, software engineering, or a related discipline, or equivalent industry experience.
- Strong programming experience with languages such as Bash, Perl, Python, Go, Rust, or Java.
- Experience with container technologies including Kubernetes, Docker, Podman, AKS, or OpenShift.
- Familiarity with cloud platforms such as Azure, AWS, GCP, or similar environments.
- Experience working with databases, particularly Oracle Database and SQL.
- Ability to work effectively within an Agile software development environment.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to understand and contribute to large, complex systems.
- Excellent collaboration, communication, and documentation skills.
- Ability to mentor peers and contribute to technical reviews.
Preferred qualifications include:
- Experience with Linux environments, including SUSE Linux, Heartbeat, and Pacemaker clustering.
- Knowledge of networking technologies such as VLANs, switches, and load balancing.
- Experience with storage technologies including RAID, NAS, NFS, and SAN.
- Familiarity with development tools such as Git, Jenkins, Make, and Gradle.
- Experience with healthcare interoperability standards such as DICOM and HL7.
- Knowledge of software packaging, RPM, and web application deployment platforms such as Apache and Tomcat.
- Competitive salary range of $129,490.78–$194,236.16 USD depending on experience, qualifications, and location.
