As a Cardio Vascular Technologist, you will play a critical role in assisting with diagnostic and interventional cardiovascular procedures while ensuring patients feel informed, comfortable, and cared for throughout their experience. A typical day for a Cardio Vascular Tech may include:

  • Assisting physicians during diagnostic and interventional cardiovascular procedures, including cardiac catheterizations, angiograms, angioplasties, and peripheral vascular interventions
  • Preparing patients for cardiovascular procedures by explaining the process, addressing questions, and ensuring their comfort, safety, and privacy throughout their care
  • Operating and maintaining specialized cardiovascular imaging and monitoring equipment to obtain high-quality diagnostic images and procedural data
  • Monitoring patients' cardiac rhythms, hemodynamic status, and vital signs during procedures, promptly recognizing and communicating significant changes to the care team
  • Maintaining a sterile procedural environment by following infection prevention protocols and supporting safe, efficient workflow in the cardiac catheterization or electrophysiology laboratory
  • Accurately documenting procedure details, patient assessments, medications, supplies, and equipment usage within the electronic medical record and cardiovascular information systems
  • Collaborating with physicians, nurses, and interdisciplinary team members to coordinate patient care before, during, and after cardiovascular procedures
  • Performing equipment quality checks, monitoring inventory and procedural supplies, and reporting equipment issues to ensure uninterrupted patient care
  • Pursuing continued professional development through advanced cardiovascular education, certification opportunities, and organizational resources that support long-term career growth

To be considered for this Cardio Vascular Tech opportunity, you must:

  • High School Diploma.
  • Graduate from an accredited Cardiovascular or Radiology Technology program.
  • Minimum of 6 months clinical experience preferred but not required.
  • Current RCIS certification or RAD license or ARRT certification/registration
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) Certification through American Heart Association.
