Respiratory Therapist in Waterbury, Connecticut at Waterbury Hospital

This is a Per Diem Tier 3 assignment covering a vacancy. There are no benefits/PL associated with this position. You will receive a $20/hr bonus pay on top of base pay. Assignment dates are subject to change at any time.

Perform respiratory therapy on all patients, from neonate to geriatric and document according to department and Hospital policies. Provide monitoring and ventilation/airway management to patients requiring continuous invasive and non-invasive ventilation. Draw arterial blood gases and assist with bronchoscopies. Monitor and document patient care provided in electronic medical record. Consult with physicians and nurses to modify therapy to provide optimal patient care.

Requirements: Graduate of an approved Respiratory Therapy program. CT state Respiratory Therapy license required. Registered or registry eligible with the National Board for Respiratory Care. CPR certification required.
