The Lube Technician plays a critical role in maintaining vehicle performance and safety by performing routine oil changes, lubrication, and basic maintenance services. This position ensures that vehicles operate efficiently by inspecting and servicing various components such as brakes, tires, and fluid levels. The Lube Tech works closely with customers to understand their vehicle needs and provides recommendations for additional services when necessary. Attention to detail and adherence to safety protocols are essential to prevent mechanical failures and extend vehicle lifespan. Ultimately, the role contributes to customer satisfaction and retention by delivering reliable and timely vehicle maintenance services. This position would be for a Tuesday-Saturday schedule.
Minimum Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Valid driver's license with a clean driving record.
- Basic knowledge of automotive maintenance and mechanical systems.
- Ability to lift heavy objects and work in various physical positions.
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to safety.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Previous experience as a Lube Technician or in a similar automotive service role.
- Automotive Service Excellence (ASE) certification or equivalent.
- Familiarity with computerized vehicle maintenance systems.
- Excellent customer service and communication skills.
- Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
Responsibilities:
- Perform oil changes, lubrication, and filter replacements according to manufacturer specifications.
- Inspect vehicles for fluid leaks, tire wear, and other potential mechanical issues.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the work area and tools.
- Communicate effectively with customers to explain services performed and recommend additional maintenance.
- Adhere to all safety guidelines and environmental regulations when handling automotive fluids and equipment.
Skills:
The required skills enable the Lube Technician to perform precise and efficient vehicle maintenance tasks, ensuring all services meet quality and safety standards. Attention to detail is crucial when inspecting vehicles and identifying potential issues that could affect performance or safety.
