GM, Aseptic Filling

This position is listed on behalf of a partner company, who manages all applications and next steps. Our partner is looking for a GM, Aseptic Filling based in United States.

This is a senior executive leadership role responsible for driving the strategy, performance, and long-term growth of a global aseptic filling business within a highly regulated biopharmaceutical environment. The role combines full P&L ownership with end-to-end operational leadership across manufacturing, supply chain, engineering, R&D, and service functions. You will shape the business vision, strengthen commercial positioning, and ensure world-class execution across sterile drug product solutions. Acting as a key industry representative, you will engage with global customers, regulators, and partners to influence market direction and reinforce technical leadership. The position requires both strategic foresight and hands-on operational leadership in a fast-paced, innovation-driven setting. You will also play a central role in building and mentoring a high-performing, globally minded organization. Frequent site travel is expected, supporting close alignment with operations and stakeholders.

Accountabilities:
  • Own full P&L responsibility for the aseptic filling business, ensuring strong financial performance, disciplined forecasting, and sustainable growth
  • Define and execute long-term strategy, competitive positioning, and annual business priorities aligned with market and technology trends
  • Oversee end-to-end operations including manufacturing, engineering, supply chain, R&D, service, and continuous improvement initiatives
  • Drive product and innovation roadmaps, translating strategic direction into executable programs that deliver value to customers and the business
  • Strengthen commercial excellence through senior customer engagement, value-based selling strategies, and expansion of strategic accounts
  • Expand service offerings and installed base performance, ensuring high levels of uptime, compliance, and customer satisfaction
  • Represent the business externally with customers, key opinion leaders, and regulatory bodies to influence industry standards and positioning
  • Build, lead, and develop a high-performing leadership team, fostering accountability, operational discipline, and innovation culture
Requirements:
  • 10–20+ years of experience in sterile drug product manufacturing, biologics, or aseptic filling operations
  • Proven leadership experience within CDMOs, pharmaceutical drug product organizations, or similar regulated manufacturing environments
  • Strong expertise in aseptic processing, isolator technologies, sterility assurance, GMP requirements, and Annex 1 compliance
  • Demonstrated full P&L ownership and executive-level operational leadership experience
  • Track record of leading large, cross-functional teams across manufacturing, supply chain, engineering, and R&D
  • Strong strategic thinking and ability to define and communicate business vision and growth strategy
  • Experience engaging with global customers, regulatory authorities, and senior external stakeholders
  • Ability to operate effectively in complex, ambiguous environments with strong execution discipline
  • Experience in advanced modalities (e.g., gene therapy, viral vectors, mRNA, ADCs) is a strong asset
  • Valid driver’s license and ability to meet international travel requirements
