Electro-Mechanical Maintenance Technician II - 1st shift in Plattsburgh, New York at SCHLUTER SYSTEMS L.P.

Electro-mechanical Maintenance Technicians combine knowledge of mechanical technology with knowledge of electrical and electronic circuits to operate, test, and maintain unmanned, automated, robotic, or electromechanical equipment.

Because the Electro-Mechanical Maintenance Technician has specialized knowledge and expertise candidate must be willing to mentor and assist in training others.

Be available for after hours, overtime, and weekend call-ins as well as flexible hours when necessary.

· Safely troubleshoot electrical, pneumatic, mechanical, and hydraulic systems associated with a wide variety of production equipment

· Working knowledge of PLC and Electronic Drives and show an ability to troubleshoot a down system with the use of a laptop

· Working knowledge of PID controllers and analog control systems

· Perform the preventative maintenance required as per OEM manuals

· Know or ability to learn all shop disciplines to include millwright work, welding, pipefitting, and the use of machine shop equipment

· Required to work by themselves or in a team environment and follow all safe work practices

· Available for after hours call times and work overtime as required

· Develop and improve process documentation, quality plans, training and operating instructions as appropriate

· Experience working in a manufacturing environment in an industrial maintenance role or similar working environment

· Knowledge in electrical, pneumatic, mechanical, and hydraulic systems

· Ability to work independently and demonstrate strong technical knowledge and communication skills

· Must be able to work in a fast-paced environment while maintaining quality and safety standards

· Sound communication skills and excellent problem-solving ability

· Analytical thinker, which utilizes data to drive decisions

· Strong team leadership and teamwork skills

· High school diploma or GED and relevant experience required with related Technical School Certificates a plus

· Ability to lift up to 40 lbs.
