JOB SUMMARY/PURPOSE
-
Provides clerical resource support for mammography services by delivering efficient and compliant breast patient tracking as well as coordination/scheduling functions for mammography patients requiring follow-up and ongoing diagnostic breast imaging and procedures in mammography and ultrasound. Assists with compliance with MQSA requirements for reporting and follow up.

DEPARTMENT DESCRIPTION
-
The Diagnostic Imaging teams at Samaritan Health Services use state-of-the-art imaging technology while providing health care teams with the information needed for a fast, accurate diagnosis. Imaging services include: X-Ray, Fluoroscopy, Bone Density, CT Scan, Digital Mammography, MRI, Nuclear Medicine, PET-CT, Ultrasound, I.R. and Cath Lab services.

EXPERIENCE/EDUCATION/QUALIFICATIONS
-
High school diploma or equivalent required.
-
Three (3) years of experience in a healthcare setting performing similar tasks, including one (1) year scheduling experience in a mammography setting, required. Experience in radiology scheduling in ultrasound and breast scheduling coordination preferred.

Experience in transcribing, entering and verifying authorizations required.

Experience and/or training with computer applications required.

Experience and/or training with medical terminology required.

Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.

Advanced breast specific scheduling knowledge. Knowledge of the specific legal requirements for mammography imaging follow up.
