Position Overview:
Accommodations Plus International (API) is seeking an experienced and strategic financial operations leader to oversee the integrity, accuracy, and performance of client financial deliverables. This role serves as a critical link between API’s clients, internal teams, and supplier network, ensuring that billing, , reconciliation, reporting and operational processes drive client satisfaction. The position will be filled at either the Assistant Director or Director level, commensurate with experience and scope of responsibility.
Essential Functions and Responsibilities
- Verify monthly reporting packages for accuracy and completeness prior to transmission to the client.
- Conduct spot-checks and reconciliations of data sourced from multiple internal systems and teams to ensure consistency and integrity.
- Review monthly reporting to ensure suppliers are uploading invoices accurately and within established timelines; escalate and resolve issues as needed.
- Develop a comprehensive understanding of each client’s business model, contractual obligations, and program objectives to ensure all deliverables support a successful, long-term relationship.
- Partner closely with the Business Development, Integration and Client Delivery teams to facilitate a seamless client transition from contract signing through implementation and ongoing operations.
- Participate in and lead client communications, including weekly performance meetings, monthly business updates, and quarterly business reviews (QBRs).
- Develop expertise in API’s proprietary technology platforms and serve as a knowledgeable resource for clients and internal stakeholders.
- Identify and recommend process improvements that increase operational efficiency, reduce manual effort, and improve reporting accuracy.
- Mentor, develop, and manage direct reports, providing coaching, performance feedback, and professional growth opportunities.
- Collaborate cross-functionally with Client Delivery and Technology teams to resolve client issues and drive program performance.
- Monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) and prepare executive-level summaries highlighting trends, risks, and opportunities.
- Support audits, compliance reviews, and ad hoc financial analyses as requested by leadership.
Success in this Role
- Demonstrated ability to manage client deliverables and supplier relationships with moderate oversight.
- Contributes to strategic planning initiatives and executes against established account strategies.
- Participates in client meetings and supports QBR preparation under the guidance of senior leadership.
- Owns end-to-end client financial operations and acts as the primary financial point of contact for assigned accounts.
- Minimum 5-7 years of progressive experience in financial operations, financial analysis, accounting, or a related field.
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to interpret complex data sets and communicate findings clearly to both technical and non-technical audiences.
- Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint.
- Comfortable working with business partners, managing competing deadlines, and adapting to a dynamic, fast-paced environment.
- Strong customer and client service skills, with the ability to positively represent API in client-facing situations.
- Experience managing supplier or vendor relationships at scale.
- Prior experience supporting Quarterly Business Reviews (QBRs) and executive-level reporting.
- Ability to work effectively with and understand diverse cultures, both domestically and internationally.
- An organized self-starter who works proactively and independently.
- Ability to multitask and consistently deliver under strict deadlines.
- Strong attention to detail with a commitment to producing high-quality work.
Preferred Qualifications
- Proficiency in Power BI, Power Query, or similar data analytics and reporting tools.
- Familiarity with SQL, data visualization tools, and NetSuite are ideal but not required.
- Experience in the travel, hospitality, airline or rail industry is ideal but not required

Position Type and Expected Hours of Work
This is a full-time position. Standard days and hours of work are Monday through Friday, during normal core business hours. Occasional evening and weekend work may be required as job duties demand.
Travel Requirements
Travel is expected to be approximately 5%.

Compensation
The good faith compensation range for this role is $120,000 - $140,000 USD. Compensation will be commensurate with experience. This position is also eligible for an annual discretionary bonus.
