Senior Strategic Renewals Manager

This position is listed on behalf of a partner company, who manages all applications and next steps. Our partner is looking for a Senior Strategic Renewals Manager based in the United States.

This is a high-impact, senior commercial role focused on driving retention and revenue growth across the most strategic customer accounts in a consumption-based business model. You will own end-to-end renewal strategy and negotiations, working directly with senior customer stakeholders including procurement, finance, and executive teams. The role requires a strong commercial mindset to defend value, manage pricing and usage-based structures, and ensure accurate forecasting. You will translate product usage and adoption data into actionable renewal strategies that maximize ARR and minimize churn risk. Operating in a fast-paced, AI-driven environment, you will collaborate closely with Sales, Customer Success, Finance, and RevOps to align on deal strategy. This is a highly cross-functional role where your field insights will directly shape how the renewal motion scales globally. It is ideal for someone who thrives in complex negotiations and wants to influence both revenue outcomes and operating model design.

Accountabilities:

You will be responsible for leading and executing strategic renewal motions across a portfolio of high-value enterprise accounts, ensuring revenue retention and growth while strengthening long-term customer relationships.

  • Own end-to-end renewal negotiations for strategic accounts, engaging directly with executive stakeholders, procurement, and finance teams to secure favorable commercial outcomes
  • Forecast and manage renewals in a consumption-based model by analyzing usage patterns, adoption trends, and customer behavior to build accurate commercial projections
  • Design, structure, and negotiate pricing and packaging models, including committed-use agreements, multi-year contracts, and discount frameworks that protect ARR and support growth
  • Identify and surface expansion opportunities during renewal cycles, partnering with Account Executives to align on broader growth strategy and account development
  • Lead cross-functional alignment across Sales, Customer Success, Finance, Legal, and RevOps to ensure cohesive deal execution and clear internal strategy per account
  • Proactively manage churn and contraction risk by evaluating value realization and leading retention or turnaround strategies when needed
  • Contribute to the evolution of the renewals function by improving processes, tooling, forecasting rigor, and commercial playbooks as the team scales
Requirements

The ideal candidate brings deep experience in complex commercial environments, strong negotiation skills, and a data-driven approach to forecasting and deal execution, particularly in consumption-based business models.

  • 10+ years of experience in customer-facing commercial roles such as Strategic Account Management, Account Executive, or Renewals leadership, with a strong track record of hitting revenue targets
  • Proven success owning and closing complex renewals and expansions in enterprise or consumption-based businesses
  • Experience structuring multi-year, multi-product agreements and navigating procurement, legal, and finance processes in large organizations
  • Strong commercial judgment and forecasting discipline, with the ability to distinguish between optimistic projections and data-backed reality
  • Deep understanding of usage-driven revenue models, including consumption, pacing, and commitment-based pricing structures
  • Comfort working in an AI-first, fast-evolving environment, with active use of AI tools for analysis, preparation, and decision-making
  • Strong communication and executive presence, with the ability to lead high-stakes negotiations and influence senior stakeholders
  • Experience in AI, data infrastructure, cloud, or developer-focused ecosystems is a strong plus
Benefits
  • Comprehensive medical, dental, and vision coverage
  • Mental health support and wellness resources
  • Annual wellness stipend and healthcare programs
  • Life, short-term disability, and long-term disability insurance
  • Unlimited PTO and generous parental leave policies
  • Flexible working arrangements and hybrid-friendly culture
  • 401(k) retirement plan with company match
  • Home office setup stipend and quarterly productivity stipend
  • Learning and development budget for education, training, and conferences
  • Access to AI enablement workshops and continuous upskilling opportunities
