Physical Therapist (PT) - School-Based
Location: Washington
Job Type: Full-time, W-2
Schedule: 10-month school-year contract
Pay: $103,000-$118,000 per year

About Thrive Therapies Group
Thrive Therapies Group is hiring Physical Therapists (PTs) to support K-12 students in school-based settings across Washington. In this role, you will help students build the mobility and functional skills they need for safer movement, better access, and greater participation throughout the school day.
This opportunity is ideal for a Physical Therapist who values student-centered care, interdisciplinary collaboration, and the chance to make an impact beyond direct therapy sessions.
What You'll Do
- Conduct school-based physical therapy evaluations and reevaluations
- Develop individualized, functional IEP goals
- Provide direct physical therapy services to K-12 students
- Support student needs related to gross motor development, mobility, gait, balance, and coordination
- Evaluate and recommend adaptive equipment and positioning supports
- Consult with teachers and school staff on physical access, mobility, and safe transfer strategies
- Collaborate with families and interdisciplinary school teams
- Maintain accurate service documentation, progress notes, and related records
Qualifications
- DPT or MPT from an accredited physical therapy program
- NPTE board exam passage required- Active Washington PT license, or documented initiation of licensure transfer
- Knowledge of IDEA, the IEP process, and the educational model of physical therapy
- Strong communication, collaboration, and documentation skills
Preferred Experience
- School-based physical therapy experience
- Pediatric physical therapy training
- Experience with adaptive equipment- Experience supporting K-12 students
- Experience working with multidisciplinary teams in educational settings
