Job Summary:
The Testing Engineer is responsible for supporting AI server product test execution, test station readiness, test yield improvement, failure escalation, and production test support. This role ensures test procedures, test equipment, fixtures, software images, test scripts, and data collection processes are ready to support NPI builds, production ramp, mass production, and sustaining operations. The Testing Engineer works closely with Production, Diagnostic Engineering, Repair, Quality, Program Management to improve test stability, throughput, first-pass yield, and product quality.
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Support daily AI server production test execution, test station readiness, and test issue resolution across assigned manufacturing, NPI, ramp, and sustaining production areas.
- Set up, verify, maintain, and troubleshoot test stations, fixtures, cables, equipment, software images, and test scripts to ensure stable production test operations.
- Monitor first-pass yield, retest rate, station downtime, failure trends, test cycle time, and test data to identify risks and drive timely corrective actions.
- Analyze test failures, collect logs, review error codes and symptoms, support escalation to Diagnostic Engineering, Repair, Quality, Manufacturing, and Program teams, and track actions to closure.
- Maintain test procedures, station checklists, troubleshooting guides, test records, issue logs, and provide training and production support for operators, technicians, customer reviews, and audits as needed.
Education:
- Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, Computer Science, or a related technical field required.
- Relevant coursework, certification, or hands-on training in electronics testing, server hardware, Linux/Windows systems, networking, firmware, test automation, or manufacturing systems preferred.
Experience:
- 4-7 years of experience in test engineering, manufacturing test, electronics testing, server test, production support, or related technical fields, including hands-on support of production test stations, test scripts, fixtures, equipment, failure logs, and troubleshooting.
- Strong understanding of manufacturing test flow, test data, yield, cycle time, defect trends, station qualification, production support, issue prioritization, documentation, communication, data analysis, and problem-solving in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
- Experience with AI server, server hardware, rack-level systems, compute products, Linux, Windows, BMC, BIOS, firmware, networking, storage, GPU, yield analysis, and fast-paced production support preferred.
