We are looking for an Intake & UR Coordinator who will work closely with clients to determine their rehabilitation needs and to provide individualized treatment by providing structured as well as holistic healing. Supports clients with foundational well-being that develops the skills needed to overcome, heal & grow to sustain long-term sobriety.

The Intake & UR Coordinator plays a crucial role in ensuring a seamless transition for new admissions by conducting orientations, collecting comprehensive patient information, and obtaining necessary signatures on intake forms. Additionally, they are responsible for conducting the initial biopsychosocial assessment.

The coordinator also collaborates with the clinical team to gather pertinent patient information for Concurrent Reviews, facilitating the timely completion of UR changes and authorizations. This position works closely with the Clinical Director to ensure effective coordination and communication with third-party UR teams.

SCHEDULE:

  • Monday through Friday - 9am to 5pm CST; Full-Time, Exempt

SALARY RATE:

  • $55,000 / Annually

What will your day look like? You will:

  • Conduct new admit orientations, providing comprehensive information and ensuring a smooth transition for incoming patients. (Commonly referred to as the “Intake”)

  • Collect and document all necessary patient information accurately and efficiently.

  • Obtain patient signatures on all required intake forms, ensuring compliance with legal and organizational guidelines.

  • Complete initial biopsychosocial assessments to gather comprehensive data on patients' medical, psychological, and social history.

  • Collaborate with the clinical team to gather relevant patient information for Concurrent Reviews.

  • Coordinate with a third-party Billing / UR team to facilitate the completion of UR changes and authorizations.

  • Ensure timely and accurate documentation of UR changes and authorizations in the appropriate systems.

  • Maintain clear and organized records of all intake and UR-related activities.

  • Collaborate with the Clinical Director to develop and implement processes for efficient intake and UR coordination.

  • Serve as a point of contact for patients, addressing any questions or concerns related to the intake process.

  • Liaise with insurance providers to verify coverage and obtain necessary authorization for services.

  • Assist in the resolution of any issues or discrepancies related to intake or UR processes.

  • Maintain up-to-date knowledge of relevant regulations and guidelines related to intake and UR.

  • Participate in team meetings and training to stay informed about program updates and changes.

  • Collaborate with the billing department to ensure accurate and timely billing for services rendered.

  • Monitor and track patient admission and discharge processes, ensuring compliance with organizational protocols.

  • Provide support to clinical staff in gathering and organizing patient information as needed.

  • Develop and maintain relationships with external stakeholders, such as referral sources and community agencies.

  • Participate in quality improvement initiatives to enhance intake and UR processes.

  • Adhere to strict confidentiality guidelines and protect patient privacy throughout all interactions and documentation.

What you will need for this position:

  • High School or GED required; Associate or Bachelors Degree preferred.

  • Preferred a minimum of 1-year experience in a Mental health AND/OR Substance Abuse Recovery agency preferred

  • CPR preferred
